I can't see how 1080p on a 37" screen would be noticably better than 720p. Maybe on a 40"+ screen. And certainly not for the money you have to pay.

Plus, it doesn't say what inputs it has. I'd avoid it. It's a glorified PC monitor.
Im slightly confused whether or not this one below is HD as some sites say it is, while others say its not- can anybody clear the matter up for me?

That Woolworths one only provides HD through the VGA connector. That's fine for stuff like the 360 or Component (using a transcoder), but no HDCP/HDMI/DVI.
As for the latter... it's news to me that that one has a HDMI actually... I was not aware of this, and a quick Google search shows most other sites don't mention it. Give them an email and ask them if the set definately does have a HDMI, and that it supports HDCP.

Been to see my mates 26' Sammy tonight he was running his Xbox using the original cable and scart block thing, and was happy with the picture, when I got there I was expecting it to look terrible but it didn't, when we switched to my officail RGB scart, it hardly looked any better.
In fact I checked dash settings, AV socket and menu. I was expecting a more pronounced improvement. Bringing the feed info up onscreen didn't mention if the signal was RBG, it just showed the colour balance and that the signal was from EXT1.
Had I missed something?
I also took my (gutless) laptop round with some high def demo clips. I tried to send the signal to the LCD whihc worked but it didn't really blow me away. the picture still looked like a blown up/zoomed in movie download. I couldn't get the laptop to solely use the extra monitor, just both at once. and its just a VGA lead not DVI, but I was expecting more to be honest.
Xbox games looked OK but Fifa 06 lacked clarity on the players and Doom 3 looked muddled.
I hope Xbox 360 looks perfect otherwise he is going to resent listening to my advice and recommendations.
Please tell me I missed something simple...
Screen looked sexy though

I have that LG. Can't compare to the Samsung, but I love it. And seems to upscale SD very well too.
I have a problem with my set in that the baseline brightness for the Component is too high, but I'm pretty sure that's just an issue with my set specifically.
Has a DVI-I, compared to the Samsungs VGA. The advantage is that DVI-I can be used for both DVI-D and VGA input.

You don't need to import. Go to ebay or get some unofficial leads from someone like TV Cables.

37" is the maximum size I want- there is no way I would go near a 40". Maybe it is correct when people say 1080P is for massive screens!
More opinions please!
