Male > Male. Which I can just plug into my TV's audio out ports which would be better than the 3.5mm headphone jack to phono lead I use now, probably a purer better sound but still not what I want.

Male > Female of that cable would be perfect!

I'm after a new monitor and have spotted this one
DELL Ultrasharp 2005FPW 20" Widescreen LCD Monitor

Has anyone got one and if so what's it like, or can anyone recommend something similar?
Avoid the Widescreen DELL - it's just the http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna...aspx&sku=12189 with the top chopped off

The 2001FP is the same price, but you get a load of extra screen space from it's 1600x1200 resolution (vs the wide's 1680x1050).

If you really want a widescreen, then the only way to get the extra resolution you're due, is to stump up another ?200 for a 2405FPW http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=8726843411

Does anyone know of a website I can check out some pics of HDTV's with a movie playing or something? Thanks.

My Toshiba 37WLT58 arrived and I've been impressed with it so far. Xbox games in 480p look a lot better than they did before, while the signal from my freeview box is worse than my CRT, and my normal TV viewing distance the picture is still good.

Anyone got any set-up tips? I've read that LCDs usually come with gash settings.

            Soi, check out avforums.com

There is a massive thread discussing the WLT58 series. There is also another thread dealing only with "settings." Should give you a lot of help.

I was all for the 32WLT58 but people were complaining about crackling, do you have that problem soi? Supposedly starts around 35.

Cheers PH, I'll have a look at that thread.

                I haven't noticed any crackling. "35" what?

People are saying that when the volume reaches 35 they can hear crackling. Some people have mentioned sound leaking between sources as well. The 32WLT58 is the one I want, Some other people who've got it said it's not an issue though, doesn't exist.

I'll check later. I have the sound through an amp.

I got the crackling, but only from dvd via component - turned WOW off, and Antennae Amplification and the crackling only appears now around the 70 mark. Even when its there on the lower setting (its a bit higher than 35 btw) you can only hear it in quiet moments, and it does come and go.

Personally i think its interference from something, and after running the tv in for a week the thing has disappeared altogether.

Soi - lovely tv isn't it

                        Hey Guys

I've got a problem, a mate of mine has just bought the Samsung 32" LE32R41B he connected the HDTV to his Sky Digital box (Satellite TV box) with a scart lead and the picture is very blocky/blurry? i.e really ****

What can he do to improve the picture (if anything at all) or is it just the fact that it's a poor signal being displayed on a HD TV??

                        Thanks

                        Tommy

First off check that his Sky box is set to RGB in the system settings (it might be set to PAL ), secondly check its in the RGB slot of the TV. See if that makes any difference.

                            Cheers Mr Boris ^ ^

Ok so if both of those options are ticked, can you think of anything else that could be causing the poor quality picture?

Would the type of cables he has make a difference?

Also does anyone on here have the same tele and run SKY through it that could maybe share their opinions and set up details?

                            Thanks again

                            Tommy

It will appear blurrier than a standard Tv at first, its something that take a little getting used to. You could try a higher quality Scart as it might not even be wired for RGB.
Other than that, its a case of waiting for SKY HD i think
