i dont know what the responce time is though.im hoping to use this mainly for 360, and it will be used on all my other consoles of course and standard tv, what would this be like for them?

I'm no fan of the XBMC upscaling, I suppose I'm used to the level of image processing that the Oppo adds. XBMC simply upscales and that's it.

Just a heads up, I think you can get the Oppo from itsupplies.net for ?172, I paid ?146 from Oppo but it was ?38 customs.

Stuff the Oppo get the Sammy, pictures is supposed to be fantastic and its sound output even better. ?119 will not leave to bad of a taste in your mouth either, when you have to upgrade to HD-DVD !

I cant decide, I think I'm going to get either one after christmas with the money I get from Santa but I just dont know which, is the Sammy definitely good at upscaling to 720p? Comparable to XBMC as I quite like that..?

Can people with Sharp LC32GA6E and Toshiba (32WLT58 or whatever) 32 inch LCD TV give me more feedback on it strength. I have bad experience with Toshiba products (Laptop died with in 27 months, DVD drive went, my DVD Player sound died after 4 months).

Can anyone confirm it bulid quality. As I am interested in 2 HDMI option. I am trying to find alternative choice to Panasonic TX32LXD52 doesn't have VGA option (500 is too expensive)

I am willing to go up to 1,100 for TV. (My ideal choice is 43 inch Pioneer Plasma HDTV display)

I personally favour the Oppo due to the (IMO) superior image processing results, OGM compatibiliy and regular firmware updates.... but I'm picky, the Sammy is a quality player that will probably look the same to most eyes.
