I have the 42" Tosh and it supports 1:1 over HDMI at 1080i, and I also just discovered that by putting my 360 into 1080i (for some reason it doesn't like the 360's 1080p signal...) I can also get 1:1 over component.

The mode is called 'exact scan'.

As the set is 1920x1080 res I obviously can't use exact scan with 720p stuff though.

I thought Andrew had said the WLT68 wasn't 1080 res?

You do realise that "the tosh" you own isn't the same models as the one people are actually talking about?

I believe you can get John Lewis to match Empire Directs price which would also include their 5 year guaruntee.

Anyone know if Tosh are bringing out the WLT68's in 47"?

Thanks, have done so. Use the component for my modded Xbox (Not sure what res Outrun 2 C2C displays at but it looks stunning )
I seem to have one (or it could be 2 right next to each other) green pixel Thing is when i touched the screen where it was, it disappeared. Then it reappeared, and disappeared again when i touched it Would people say this is worth worrying about, or have other people got one or two misbehaving pixels? Would people say it's worth me trying to blag an exchange, or live with it... basically are they really quite common and better sticking to this one than risk getting a TV with more?

I've got a red stuck pixel and I can't see it unless I'm right up at the screen, so I would just ignore it personally. It's not worth the hassle of trying to return it in my opinion. (but then I've done it so many times)

I briefly had the 26" version of that panel. It ghosted over VGA slightly and I wasn't a fan of it's colour calibration either over component or VGA (reds were too bright and the blues - particularly over VGA - were gaudy).

The Samsung R series is fairly well regarded though for what it offers in its general price range.

                          Hi chaps,

You are all going to hate me, I'm trying to find a quick review of a pretty populour/cheap HDTV, the Samsung 32" LE32R74BDX. Yet despite it being the top seller on Amazon and Play.com, can't find any half decent reviews.

I don't have a HDTV yet, I'm only going to be using it for the Xbox360. Does anybody own one and care letting me know how it holds up? I was happy with SD up until Gears of War arrived and now I just feel i'm not doing it justice.

Did a forum search and it looks like it's been mentioned here already, tried reading the last 15 pages with no mention. eek!

Pirotic I've had experience of the R7 series but it isn't the exact model you refer to so it might not be what you're looking for. Read above.

The panel itself isn't bad, but from my experience, it isn't without its flaws either (colour/options).

http://www.avforums.com/forums/showp...&postcount=716 Should help with the settings, and any HDMI lead should be fine - basically if it's working without any drop-outs etc, it's working as well as any lead would.
