I was a bit naughty last night. Getting my head kicked in by a mong of a Ken player. 3 matches, he's still Ken, 4 matches, he's still Ken. 5th match, character select screen, and he selects... Ken. So my connection somehow manages to terminate itself. Shame.

Have to laugh at me Vs Fuddle, with the black screen intermission between every match. Still, at least our psycic powers are working well, we kept choosing the same characters. Elena Vs Elena match Really really close. Makato Vs Makato was... less so.

And Firsty still remains elusive. Connection is obviously afraid of me. Yeah, that's what it is. Ahem. If it's any consolation I may be getting a switch soon, so I'll see if a DMZ will fix things. I think Lyrical tried to join the game intended for Firsty, which is why I declined you. Sorry for that, but Firsty is obviously gagging for some buttock grinding defeat.

I've seen Firsty around but never played against him because the connection is always 'bad' or 'worst'.

the elena match was very cool. due to getting a cheap win in the first round, i was really trying hard not to get another one...and it ended up costing me the match (maybe).

Taunting can get you into mucho trouble. Wailing on this Irish n00b, and tried to kill him with Sean's basketball. He got angry and ripped me a new one. Then quit. Oops.

I only taunt cheap, scrubby players and those who taunt me first and then get comprehensively beaten.

The latter are great.

Ken has a lot of style and flair - as soon as I see Ken jump back and throw fireballs it's like "oh he's just giving me the match..."

Look at Ken's movement - do you realise how much simply improving your movement improves your character? Look at how the character moves and use it to your advantage, add backdashes to space out after failed mid sweeps or taps - use rapid forward and back dashing to adjust position and psyche out your opponent, confuse and control your opponent to get what you want (dashing in with fakes makes people jump!) and I cant stress how sick his forward + hold hard kick is! This move moves you forwards and people always try to hit him out of it - learn the timing on it and you can tag a light dragon on the end as they try and hit you. Ken's kicks applied to a solid parry defense routine are what makes him a good character - not his fireball or his dragon.

These are just simple examples it's all about finding out what else you can do with regards to spacing, tapping to stop moves and fake outs rather than follow the Xbox Live Shoto crowd - who are on the whole, rubbish.

I remember once I was near 0 health get taunted by Dudley but instead of just blocking or avoiding it I tried to parry it to look swish, big mistake, I lose the round. For the rest of the match all he did was that taunt and I foolishly kept on trying to parry it, I failed
