Exactly why I asked the question! So we know that we need BRD | RDM | WHM. Do you think PLD + two other DD's work (one maybe being SAM?). We want to keep this as a LS run if possible but like you said, no point in going in to die!

WHM | BRD | RDM are definitely the right core, PLD could be useful as back up heal to the WHM though I'd probably be best to kit out and DD as best as I can. I suspect that if the DD can put up numbers like Toxic did last time I won't get hit very often.

BLM has it's moments, do they have stun to stop the flood? What we need is someone that can rip hate from the BRD effectively towards the end. Toxic was taking 2 - 4 shots on the last few to take hate and that was keeping talizker busy. We have much more than that and tal could wind up with hate and we'd be dog food.

No, stun comes at level 45 for BLM.

I did pull the hate in the closing stages of the 6th run when we did it, but only because I had used manafont. The rest of the time I struggled to even cast one useful nuke per mandy, cos I was always trying to get MP back. Maybe that's partly due to the rate tox was dispatching them, but then again the fights were lasting 20 minutes even with that.

I never done this, but my understanding is for BRD to run in Sleep the crowd, Main tank provokes Black mandy and you wail on it till its dead, while trying to stop flood from going off... after its dead we pile in on the white mandies

If you want to try a samurai I can bring Tach:Hoboku to the table which has a stun effect, and mediate for 100tp gain and have I?ll have access to O.Kote/sniper ring, I only need lvl40 body armour to complete the set(Royal.knight?s, I did have Ju-jitsu during my 40-60?s period) which CP can buy for me, if use sushi and fruit drink for regen I should be good. A thf sub would be good for strong Hoboku hit, but a war sub would make me backup tank with provoke and better DoT.

Not my place to say, but with 2 black mages have you considered doing the worm's turn? I know Daragon has his doubts but from the times I've done it I have to say it's an utter piece of piss. With 2 black mages the whole arena is asleep, then you can just take your time. 10-12 minutes was normal with 3 rangers fighting multiple worms.

Hmmm, reading this it seems your major concern is hate control but in your setup you have the very job designed for hate control, a THF.

Surely you could just have PLD position behind the next Mandragora you wish to kill, get the THF to SATA Viper Bite onto the PLD, then Provoke and Flash. At that level and against nice and squishy Mandies, Viper Bite should put up some nice numbers. You want your THF to be absolutely loaded with DEX+ wherever possible though in order to boost the damage multiplier as much as possible.

I appreciate that it is not a normal approach to the BCNM but instead of trying to go in with the RNG heavy strategy with any setup (even when lacking RNG) you should work to the strengths of the setup you do have. With a THF and PLD hate control isn?t go to be a problem. I?ll be honest though, I have no clue how you plan to deal with Flood with that setup

Im sorry Daragon but I think we are going to have to say no to Blm, honestly though Blm has alot of opportunities for BCNM just not this one, if I was you I would save your seals for either BCNM40 the worm one or BCNM60 Quicksand caves as Blm is a very important job for those.

I don't like to stop people joining in on things but its always the way in this game, not all jobs work for everything, ive been in the same situation before having to give a place up to a Blm because they preferred Blm sleeping abilities which I cant really argue.

Well, thats fair enough I suppose. We should get a worm BCNM group going soon tho, as I could really do with some more cash. Farming is all fine and dandy, but when the price of your item drops by 2k while its being sold, there go the chances of it ever being sold, and its getting close to the point where I won't be able to afford the AH fees if the items won't sell.

I have enough seals for 2 x BCNM40 runs so may be up for this, just don't know if RDM is much use for the Worms ^^

So what your saying is have the BLM take the WHM's job?

Thats interesting, as we could then bring in Tobal as the extra DD and keep this a whole LS BCNM.

If the you think you can manage the job of healing the melee's Daragon this might work, what do people think?
