Final Fantasy XI Then...

Bit of bad news for any of us who pre-ordered Chains of Promathia from Video Games +:

We have just been notified by our suppliers that Final Fantasy Chains of Promathia (PC) has been delayed until next week Sept 28/04. An official statement from the manufacturer states that the delay in manufacturing has been caused by the recent hurricanes in th US, which caused an evacuation of there manufacturing facility delaying production and release of the product.

Price and release dates are subject to change. If the actual release price is lower than what we have listed, you will only be charged the lower price.

Damn, I was looking forward to this too. Still, I can understand the reason for it.

On another note, I got lvl 56 and am now only two AF's away from being in full Bard AF Armour.

Oh and if anyone needs the Boyahda Tree Coffer this is how easy it is to get.

Monday I entered Boyahda Tree and found the treasure coffer on my way past the first tunnel, didnt have a key at the time.

Today I got a key, then as we moved party location I got the treasure coffer and now have another coffer key again, if only they were all so easy.

I'm not 100% as i'm only a level 7 Monk and have experience with a level 3 WHM. But i'm pretty sure when you select your magic menu then highlight a spell the bar at the top of the screen gives you the effect the spell has.

Yeah. There is no way at all to find out what spells do before you *buy* them though, more's the pity. (Apart from asking someone I guess)

I could have done without all those useless stat reducing spells a BLM gets that don't seem to reduce any stats.

Can anyone tell me if you can buy items to cast sneak/invis/deodorise?

I need to get through Ranguemont Pass, and after taking one step inside last night I was killed instantly. So I'm going to need extra assistance obviously.

Prism Powders = Invisibility
Silent Oils = Sneak

Both are listed on the AH under Medicines.

You won?t need Deodorize as the only mobs that are able to detect via this method are ghosts (maybe skeletons too) and that is only when you have low health.

However, I can give you a guided escort if you like. i can't sneak or invis you but I can kill everything that will get in your way

Would these items be sold in the Alchemist guild? I'm just wondering if that may be cheaper than the auctions. And even if I end up with an escort I'm sure they'd be handy to have for the future.

I don?t think they are available from any NPC vendor unfortunately.

From what I remember a stack of Silent Oils will set you back around 6k. Unfortunately I don?t know how much a stack of Prism Powders cost as I have a Ninja spell that casts invisible which means I don?t have use for the items.

if you buy the items needed to make it, i can make load for u for free, which u can use or sell back + any high syths.

silents oils - fire crystal + 1 slime oil + 2 beewaxs (makes 4 pots normal syth)
prism powders - Light Crytsal + 1 lens + 2 glass fibre (makes 6 normal syth)

if its for the ice/snow weather you could always camp batalia.. its very rare but it does indeed snow there ^^
