I read somewhere that for the Diabolos fight, 6 of you enter (tank + 5 others), everybody but the tank log out, then the tank run in and engage, and just as he does everybody log back in. This prevents Diabolos from drawing you in, so rangers, blms, healers etc. won't get hit by AOE's.
It's possible they patched it, but that's similar to how we won when I did it a while back. (had a WHM log out in case we died)

So, Snoll Tzar again tonight? Was it 10pm? After our discussion before the BC on Friday, it seems that the Snoll Tzar is weak(est) to Fire and not Ice which will hopefully mean my nukes will land for 200-300 a time instead of the 100ish I had on Friday.

The only other question is in regards to healing and should I be doing any. When I hit Chainspell I get I think 7 nukes on my stack of MP (before convert) which will all go rather quickly. Hopefully, things will still be good by the time I convert which will hopefully mean I don't grab hate right away. That way I can maybe toss a few Cure's if needed or continue with the nukes.

Yeah this snoll didn't follow the pattern I've seen with other snolls in being weak to ice, as freeze was resisted and flare was normal damage. Lesson learned.

Another lesson learned was that for whatever reason, using invincible to steal hate isn't guaranteed to work (I'm still annoyed by the cheapness of my death in the mithra BC)... hopefully Mosley's avatar will be taking all the hate for the danger period though.

Only enjoyable thing I did at the weekend was a Titan fight where I tried out my spirit lantern for the first time. It was BLM/RDM/WHM/PLD only. I didn't anticipate the lantern having quite as much of an effect as it did so after a couple of boosted nukes hate control was out the window, the paladin had to hit cover and I just went to town, awesome fun...

Everything else sucked. AH prices being pushed up on the items I wanted AGAIN, screwed up in solo ENM with an absent-minded AoE spell that brough the moblin into the fight, the afore-mentioned Diabolos deaths (nothing unexpected just the usual Nightmare screw up).. bleehhhh if I continue trying to rush my goals in the time left I'm going to burn out.

Was with Daragon (as was Rabs) for the battle with Diabolos and he is an ass.

Was somewhat amusing that the group agreed to have a test run first without meds or 2 hours as a test and on that run we got it to less than 5% and had we used aforementioned items/abilities, we would have won. Things just went downhill from there.

3rd run was the worst with Diabolos literally spammed Dispelga and Sleepga removing Utsusemi constantly. Think I?m 0/7 on him so far but could have so easily have been 1/4 if the group had a more positive outlook for the first run on Saturday.

Earlier on Saturday I killed some lfg time in the Den of Rancor camping Celeste-eyed Tozberry. Between 1 and 2 hours killing the Tonberry Trailer placeholders. One fight hit me with a Throat Stab but still got the kill and a Den Coffer key. The NM poppedminutes later but was down at 50HP from Throat Stab and reesting seemed to take forever.

Full heal and pulled half expecting to die and things didn?t go well when he hit me with Hojo: Ni (slow) messing up my ninjutsu timers. Just as this happened Apathye logged on and offered to come and help me kill but there was no way he would make it in time and with my HP dangerously low I hit Mijin Gakure so we could regroup.

NM was still there when we got back and an easy kill as a duo. No drop

Still I had my coffer key so Apa helped me look around the zone for the coffer as he had the map from a previous NM camp. Nothing at all throughout the zone and just when we were about to give up Daragon asked on LS if you could get to Leviathan via the easy Den of Rancor entrance. We had completely forgotten about that part of the zone so we Escape and check it out. Coffer is hiding just around the corner which I pop open for the map, grateful that the entire afternoon has not been wasted.

Also an easy Monarch Linn ENM win with more crappy drops. However the three of us have agreed to do it as a regular weekly battle and eventually we have to get the good drops.

Sunday was just an EXP overkill day with 2 parties with Moot. 1 in Bhaflau Thickets which was ok but also a cracking party in Caederva Mire which sadly didn?t last as long. Now I need to cap out my experience and top up my ninja tools again. After that, I?m not sure. Maybe start doing Dynamis and working on my relic armour.

Also, Apa?s exams finish tomorrow and Moot?s school holidays soon so we may hit CoP big style and get to Sea.

A weeked of above average results for me, mostly successful bar the ill fated encounter with Diabolos. Friday evening saw me bag myself the elusive Fenrir with Sunday night seeing the downfall of Ouryu - there is alot to be said for mana burn groups, so many freeze spells. Thankfully, our tank was on hand to regain the hate while the dragon was caught napping, and our strangely capable whitemage kept him healed every time he took damage. Fight was over quickly and we broke the record in little over 7 minutes.

Tonight will be snoll time again at 22:00 I think the only changes needed will be small but I suggest this...

Tobal subs WAR for extra survivability and voke if I go down, brings a bunch of hi-potions same as me so should last at least 45 secs with all that HP of his.

I use tank food but stick to DD build, that way I can always gear over. Remind me to use potions and not die like a idiot with 13 in my inventory. Would be good to remember to use yags and regen as well.

They wouldn't have helped anyway, you were one-shotted for 1290 damage.

I suggest as wel we all enter at full hp as his AoEs were harsh and last thing that me, tobal and wedge all kick off with 100 tp from a wing each.

I didn't die until you died and he targeted me - I don't remember getting hit by any particularly bad AoE... I would rather keep my HP at yellow but I won't, just because of the hassle of getting past the undead only for the group to cure me anyway.

Yeah with a full defensive pimping I might be able to reduce that down to comething much more manageable. I think I'll set up macroes to gear over to DD for WSes and the gear back to tank for well tanking. I reckon I can reduce that damage to a more sensible number.

I feel a win coming on tonight, Rargh will once more be triumphant.

Plans should similar to last time, but a few differences.

No-one steps on to ice, until we?re ready to go, Tsing will lead in first with mosely Avatar for astral flow, tsing 2hr for hate and then uses salt 1, tali uses 2hr, chainspell nukes till out and convert to save the rest for curing, I?ll 2hr and just spam Yuki?s over and over on war sub as im only every getting 1 SA attack of at most. Not sure on AM maybe have ES+Freeze after Tsing 2hr?d. I?ll make sure to turn on all filter except for the mob as I couldn?t see any of salt reports last time.

I think we can do this if we ready for the fight which was the key mistake last time, we easily got its HP to 1/4 without a tank from 1/2 HP in.

I was in a Qufim party with some high-rankers. I never knew LVL.19s could camp at the tower. oO. 200exp per snipper.

Just need my choco licence tonight whilst I sit around Jeuno lfg + crafting.

The Khazam keys are now approaching. Once I hit lvl.25 and grab my keys I'm giving it a break and will probably lvl THF or change to my Hume WAR entirely.

Boring last few days for me, done nothing but farm silk. After i filled my inv headed bk to jeuno only to find prices had dropped to 40k :/ Oh well!

Headed back to my farming point and did some more Lots more to do if i want that hauby! Think i might go bk to lvlin thf soon as to much farmin takes the fun out of the game!

Hope we can do that BCNM60 soon and that ring BC too as the cash would really come in.
