I should really stay late to try it out one evening
I bought one of those on ebay a few weeks back for ?15. Been using it for N64 (RGB modded) and PS1 (RGB). Loving Time Crisis and GunBullet - you can't beat the accuracy and immediacy of CRTs for light guns.

Geometry isn't amazing on this one, but it is not bad enough to be distracting. Was fun carrying it up to my loft though - weighs quite a bit and is fairly bulky.

I wish. Work may be getting rid soon, and I've nowhere to keep it or store it :-(

I can hear it calling me, begging to be used. It hasn't seen any use for yonks now :-(
            Thats the one i have!

A fantastic set, but a pig to get the geometry right, due to the screen size

It weighs a ton too; make sure you get help if lifting it.

Its the perfect retro set, RGB ouput is the best i have ever seen

If you/your workplace are shifting it, I might take it off your hands, Pete. Living in Bath now so could collect.

I used to have that exact same TV, it is perfect for retro. RGB scart and S-Video and just an amazing picture with great sound quality. When you go back to a TV like that after a modern LCD it's amazing how good the colours are.

I quite liked Astro Go! Go! It's no F-Zero but still fun.

My arrivals this week included a Taito triple bill:

Have already had a play. Found it awkward as the TV doesn't display a picture when in service mode, just static from the analogue tuner. Will spend some time on it soon and I'm sure I'll get it much better then.

That said, it is still a great TV.

                        Mine does..

Are you putting an rgb source through, after going into the service menu?

I think so. It was a couple of weeks ago since I tried it but I'm sure I had a RGB source active before entering service mode. Maybe I need to de-activate it (power off the console) then re-activate it once in service mode?

One of my main issues with the picture is a slight hour-glass shape to the image. Do you know which control I should use to correct this? I will post a picture of the service menu shortly.

Just give it a fiddle, shouldn't take too long to work out.

And I had no problems configuring with an RGB image on my Trinitrons.

29" of retro goodness, looks even better in person. Night striker ps1, Toaplan shooting battle ps1, ray storm ps1

activate service menu from standby, then activate RGB source
