Haha I still have it ... its ok, but after what SD did with WLS 98 onthe Saturn it was a huge letdown , and it looked like sh8t too . SEGA really should have let the team use the Virtual Striker engine. I got both the Worldwide Soccer games for the DC and have to say the animation in both was horrid , they looked like hunchbacks, but hey you could also play as women

It wasn't a let down for me, far from it. The players did look a bit funny, I guess it's because trying to make realistic looking characters at the time, only resulted in horrible low polygon disasters. Look at Sensi anyway, who needs realistic visuals.

I think the game was clear, bold, the players moved well, there was pace, it was easy to play, but with a learning curve.

I've always loved football games, and Euro2000 on the DC gave me months of pleasure. I can only assume that some people had certain expectations, which weren't met, but I didn't really have any expectations, so I just accepted it as it was.

I agree that the GC version of Wave Race is appalling. It's sooooo bland, with no character or joy. Everything is bleak, gritty, and it plays poorly too. Another game that Nintendo farmed out, which turned out to be rubbish.

It was a decent game (me and my bother had a few good games on it , I must admit), but after what Slicon Dreams did with WLS 98 onthe Saturn it just rasied mine and my best mate (a WLS98 nut) expectations way up . When were heard that SC were making a new football game for the DC were couldn't wait , but it just never played as well as the Saturn game imo.
They both were ok , but the trouble was , what with Pro Evo onthe PS, and that French cock spending all SEGA money on Football , its should have been and needed to be so much better

Really!? I thought the conversion was pretty turd - remember it getting awful reviews as well.

I really enjoyed it I had it for the megadrive probably my second favourite scrolling beat um up on the mega drive after streets of rage 2 maybe it wasn't up to the arcade quality but it was very playable and enjoyable.

I will have to track down some of them reviews now .
