Sega Mega Drive or Super Nintendo?

Remember the early 90s when you were only allowed one or the other at first, but you still had respect for the one you didn't have? Well which one was/is your favourite and why? You HAVE to pick one.

SNES! I remember I begged my Mum to buy me the SNES Mario All Stars bundle, that kept me going for ages. Then there were the like of Street Fighter II Turbo, Super Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country, Super Metroid, Final Fantasy III and many many more that I'm sure I missed out. Ah great days

Although I loved my MD, I can't remember any titles that truely wowed me or got immersed in as much Marioworld, Zelda and Super Metroid. SNES, baby!

What's making it hard for me to choose is, if I were to buy one now, it would be a SNES, but as a kid I loved the MD!

Here's what's mixed in my head right now as I take this too seriously:

MD: Streets of Rage is better than final fight.

MD: There were more Sonic games than Mario games

SNES: Mario Kart is god

SNES: DKC!

MD: Had the best disney games (World of Illusion.)

MD: Outrun - nuff said

SNES: Super FX Chip

etc, etc

Edit: Voted for Mega Drive! It was like 51% to 49%

I don't like Mario or Sonic games but I much prefer the Megadrive. The cool variety of scrolling shooters wins it for me.

Those were the days. SNES for me (fave console ever!) - all my mates had Mega Drives, but Mario World, Sim City, F-Zero, Link to the Past, Mario Kart won out for me.

I (My Parents) could only afford to get me a game at my birthday and maximum of 2 at Christmas, and I would play them to death.

Whilst I had a great time with the Mega Drive, the magic of DKC and DKC 2 really made me fall in love with my SNES.
