Fixed the tweet now, but it's DotB1 specifically from the CD version - I think the existing one (at least the one I can see from a cursory look) was the PC98 one? Romhacking page is here but there's also a French translation now too if you go to the Github page.

That is great news! I have wanted to play that since forever!

PC98 one is a right pain in the arse to emulate on Mac so never got round to it.

Gonna fire this up on ye olde Analogue Pocket.

I'd like to play that, but I'm a lazy git so I'll wait for an ISO to appear with the hack in place.

A new Dead of the Brain PC98 patch has been released also - Dead of the Brain ~Cry of the Dead~ [PC-98] - English Patch | GBAtemp.net - The Independent Video Game Community The original patch was buggy and used a machine translation according to the readme.

Played through it tonight and had a fun time with it. Not long and it has some good artwork.

                    Wow fantastic.

In the 2000s I would look longingly at so many interesting untranslated games. Today it's more about finding the time to play all these terrific fan translations.

Hilltop is doing some really great work, I really ought to chip in to the Patreon.

Anyone remember this story about a collection of rare 90s games being found, still sealed last year? Turns out there was finally an update, which is that everything was sent off to WATA, is now back, and that they're looking for someone to buy the entire lot. There's a page here with more details about what's included, if you've got a cool seven figures burning a hole in your pocket.

I thought I knew everything about games, turns out there’s still so much for me to learn. Was listening to Jeff Gerstman’s Podcast and was made aware of this stunning Arcade game.

Just stunning. Ex-Girlfriend or Child Molester, you’ve got to spank and anally attack them all!

OSSC Pro happening. It will upscale up to 2560x1440, it's technically more powerful than a RT5X but firmware is well behind compared to Mike Chi's scaler. It doesn't support composite and s-video but it does have VGA.
Projected price $300, projected launch this November (!)
