Sucker Punch is on Sky this week so I decided to give it a watch.
    Worst. Movie. Ever.
I could only watch so much as it was that bad and I rarely give up on a film.

Probably a wise move, I didnt mind the movie too much but the ending really pi$$ed me off and left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Just finished watching the Matrix trilogy.

The 1st one to me is still a classic. The 2nd one blows my mind when Neo meets the Architect.

The dialogue in that scene just melts my brain. I think the Wachowski brothers were trolling when they wrote that bit.

Just went to the premiere of Studio Ghibli's From Up on Poppy Hill

Stunning film, and the soundtrack is fantastic.

I love that bit. Didn't really get it the first time but when I saw it on DVD I turned the subs on

            Why with subs billy?

Is it easier to take in rather than listening to it?

May give that a go if that's the case. Perhaps people are predisposed to one way or the other?

I have a short attention span and when I'm listening to/reading something complex that I don't have an understanding of(e.g. philosophy, politics, economics), I'll often find I've forgotten the beginning of a sentence before I've reached the end and have to go back. I spent most of the first Dune book rereading most of the paragraphs. Throw in phrases like vis-a-vis and I'm trying to filter out the non-essential stuff. Part of it was because I really did want to understand it properly because it made the film for me. I liked Reloaded anyway but, before that, I felt it was just mumbo-jumbo.

Alternatively, it may have been around the time I used to turn subs on for most things because usually everyone wants to have a chit-chat while I'm trying to watch important stuff and it became a habit - one which I've since grown out of(hilariously, my little bro has started doing just that and I'm always telling him to turn them off!).

Watched How To Train Your Dragon, a film that loses nothing no matter how many times I watch it. Such a beautiful story that's complemented by an incredible score, possibley my favourite film score ever. The only problem with watching it is that I'm always reminded and saddened by the fact that Toy Story 3 stole all the awards that should have gone to this film just becuase everyone is up Pixars bum hole.

While HTTYD is undoubtedly ace, toy sory 3 was a bit special.

                    Rubber.

The story of a killer tyre named Robert that uses telekinesis to explode peoples heads after becoming infatuated with some bint.

                    It left me thoroughly confused.

Today I saw two films at the cinema:

The Woodsman and the Rain (Kitsutsuki to Ame), about a lumberjack who gets disturbed by these guys filming and ends up getting involved in the production. Absolutely hilarious.

Monsters Club - about a guy who lives I'm the woods and sends mail bombs to TV and advertising execs cos he believes they're trying to control the masses.

There was a Q&A with the director afterwards and he said he got the idea for the film after staying in a log cabin and finding a translation of the Unabomber's manifesto

                        HANG ON! New Studio Ghibli?!

                        Called 'Up on Poppy Hill'...

How has this escaped my attention? Is it a feature-lenght one? I thought their latest was 'Arrietty'/The Borrowers-thing?

I loved Ghibli until Ponyo, that really killed my love of them for some reason :/

Ponyo Ponyo ponyo tiny little fish.

                          I love that one.

I watched Hugo last night, which was nice. Reminded me of Stacking

Also watching In Time, which could of been good, but the initial concept it was based on was a bit half baked.

Sat watching St Trinians with my brothers at the moment (their choice!). Not quite what I was expecting, I have to say...

I watched "Super" the other night. Everyone seems to compare it to "Kick Ass", usually saying that Super is an inferior film, but I thought it was a better film. A nice surprise.

The Lorax - pretty ordinary but the kids liked it

From Paris with Love - surprisingly enjoyable

however the main plot point was a dead giveaway,so bloody obvious

                                . Travolta on song

Columbiana - Zoe Saldana is mega hot hot hot. Good fun and some great action and gunplay
