How do I know if Stephen Fry in America Blu Ray doesn't support Region A as my USA PS3 doesn't tell me.

We're getting two Platinum Editions a year (March and October), with Pinocchio and Snow White being the 2009 ones. Beauty and the Beast and Fantasia are the 2010 releases.
I agree with Lyris about it desperately needing a decent edition, though. The DVD looks so bad.

I watched Sleeping Beauty last night I'm in awe of what quality Disney have managed to make of the source material. Absolutely stunning colour and until I saw it like this I had no idea of the amazing background artwork in this film.
Absolutely breathtaking from start to finish and I think I just sat there from start looking star struck by what they'd done. I really can't wait for the next Disney platinum release.
Picked up Batman & Batman Returns today and even in comparison to the original 1966 film these must be the campest films ever produced. They did have the **** Batman films in stock too but I'm really not seeing any reason to get those.

I'd say Batman is one of the better 1980s films I've seen on blu-ray, but don't expect Blade Runner or 2001 - it hasn't been given *that* much love!
On another note - apparently, the UK Blu-Ray of Batman Returns is the uncut version, which has never been released over here. Also £12.99 on Play....Last edited by TonyDA; 29-12-2008, 18:58.

It's a definite improvement over the Special Edition released three (I think) years ago, and well worth ?12.99 to upgrade. It looks its best when the cinematography is bright and there are close-ups of faces - there were times when I thought that the SFX shots weren't too great, but I'm beginning to take that as a given for some older Blu-Ray releases.
