I do get the feeling that it's possibly down to the source material rather than it being poorly mastered but I would be very happy to replace it depending on the quality of the Criterion release.
EDIT:
Oh yeah, the link is to screen captures and of them contains boobs. Just letting you know, avoid if needed.Last edited by JP; 21-01-2011, 21:12.

Kick Arse? Is that the British version?

Has anybody here got it in different packaging?
I know the packaging isn't the most important thing but I'm really not a fan of those budget boxes and avoid them whenever possible.
Picked it up as a part of HMV's 2 for ?20 offer, also picked up Lebanon as well as Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge and Romeo & Juliet which is nice as I've not seen any of them before.
I'm a little worried to find that Mesrine: Killer Instinct and Mesrine: Public Enemy Number 1 are running on a single BD50 as I'd always presumed that they were a two disc set.
They have a total running time of 246 minutes and on top of that the disc hosts documentaries and other crap so something has had to give somewhere.

Aren't they the same? I thought it was just the packaging that was changed when they released them as a collection. As far as I know the only Harry Potter releases that were changed are the US exclusive Ultimate Editions.
I can't say 100% though so hopefully somebody will be able to confirm this but that's what I understood.
EDIT:
I've not been able to find any references to any changes apart from the packaging but it does seem that the Ultimate Editions were also available in some European regions as well as the US.
These version appear to of had improved audio and a couple of them had extended cuts of the films as well as the theatrical cut.Last edited by JP; 01-02-2011, 13:51.
