I am – Hercules!! Could the nation’s cinemas be getting a 35-minute-longer “director’s cut” of Joss Whedon’s “Marvel’s The Avengers” this August? Such a cut is already rumored for a forthcoming Blu-ray release. Both ComicBook.com and...

Watched this tonight. There were some nice set pieces, funny moments with the Hulk but apart from that it was........forgettably good. I didn't care much for Hawk Eye or Black Widow, both seems very wooden and robotic in their roles.
Glad I borrowed it and didn't buy it. Nice touch at the end though with
Thanos being teased
. Hopefully I will make it to the cinema for number 2.

It's good you got to see it finally. I think the film is enhanced by the cinema experience and brought with it a lot of fun that comic book films should carry (we have enough serious films already thanks).
Re: your comments on Hawkeye/Black Widow, Jeremy Renner seems to be typecast anyway and I like Scarlett Johansson as Widow but still would have preferred someone more sleek (Scarlett can act though so it makes sense).
