Even after all the hype Im still pleasently suprised by how great the film appears to have turned out.

9/10 is actually the lowest score I have seen for it so far .
Most places i ignore, but i really like the reviews at digitalfix/dvdtimes...

Now if only prometheus gets the same praise, i would be genuinely happy for the year.

From Superman to Batman, superhero films have much to teach us about faith and humanity – as well as being terrrific visual spectacle, writes Avengers Assemble star Tom Hiddleston

Loki himself, Tom Hiddleston, has written an article for The Guardian in defense of superhero films

Considering the genres rise in popularity over the last decade I didn't realise it needed defending.

It's probably intended more for the Guardians audience who are more likely to sneer at popular entertainment

Saw this yesterday... Absolutely fantastic. Don't want to say too much, but each member somehow got enough screen time, no one felt like a cameo and no one dominated. SFX wise it was outstanding too.

Oh and the Hulk . He seriously needs a sequel in line with what he's like in this.

Was brilliant at the midday showing today. Nice group of people there and it was one of the best movies I've seen in years. I really dislike the Hulk but thought he was fantastic in this, absolutely hilarious. 3D was okay, it wasn't forced on you like a lot of gimmicky films do. Thoroughly recommend this to anyone.

There was even a Dollhouse cameo there for all you Whedonites out there.

First time I've been in a cinema in the UK where there was applause at the end. Awesome awesome film :-)

Hulk really is the screen stealer when he's on, but needs the other heroes there play off as his previous films are about fighting the army or that similar souless hulk clone in the 2nd which didn't make great viewing. Great film and the 3d was alright, have mixed feelings about the "war" not having on screen civilian deaths instead getting quite a few storm trooper'esk fire fights, justa few would have done but not in a overthe top stupid way Transformers 3 did it.

looks like we're all getting home after watching the evening showing with those post times .

Best film I've seen in ages! Hulk smash!

Film of the last 12 months for me! Spiderman and Dark Knight Rises really have their work cut out for them.

                              Not a massive Marvel follower,

Who was the bad scary dude in the credits sequence? The only bad guy(s) I know with a purple face is Skrull, but I didn't think it would be them, they don't seem big enough of a threat.

                              Edit

                              Thanos, apparently *shrugs*

What can I say, Whedon actually did it. It was an epic film.

And that post credits scene? Mind...Blown!
