I have got Hadoukens new CD and it's a belter. Quite a different sound to the original but with the beats coming from Noisia it's not a let down.

I think his vocals are doing my head in a little bit but overall a great album.

I stumbled across the 'original' version of Babylon Zoo's Spaceman~ on youtube the other day, and milking it still.

I was listening to a few tracks off that today, but was underwhelmed. Not heard any of their stuff before though.

'Broke Hoes', always awesome, it's like this big strip of 30mg codeine tabs I've got, hits that spot every time:

(I always liked this track better than that, and that was a track).

Since yesterday, I've been listening to BT's new one, These Hopeful Machines. My feelings on it are mixed at the moment. Overall, I reckon it's much better than his last couple but some of it just seems like simple indie-ish pop stuff and I'm not sure it's doing him justice considering where he started. And then, in a way that contrasts with that, he's put it together in a sprawling 2-cd album with some really interesting production.

Some of the instrumental tracks are great, as are some of the more collaborative tracks.

I have it on order from Amazon but couldn't resist an 'advance preview' of the new Sade album, its really rather good, very atmospheric, sparse and wonderfully recorded.

I'm sure many will still decry it as 80s yuppie winebar music but somehow it seems to fit the current times as well as it did back in the day.

                    timeless stuff.

Oh my actual god. Just been listening to the first few tracks of Jaga Jazzist's latest 'One-Armed-Bandit'. The title track is the most ruddy awesome opener I've heard in a long time. Precision drums, basserific bass clarinet, an interlude that sounds like an old arcade game, superbly jazzy brass and an unforgettable Zappa-like melody.

                        So yeah...it's good

Danger's new EP has hit iTunes, 09/17 2007, and it's absolutely fantastic. That's this morning's listen.

Been listening to a lot of Eels recently having just read Everett's book. Fallen back in love with "Electro-Shock Blues" especially.

What did you think of the book, Jebus?

Just listened to Prince's "Purple Rain" record for the first time. I don't know why I haven't listened to it before. Some of it seems a bit dated but that just makes me like it more for some reason.
