New and current FS anime Topic

Decided to follow Tobal's advice and download another series to pass the time inbetween Naruto. Bleach has been recommended so plan to go for that but which FS group do people recommend?

I think this was answered previously in a thread but having all anime discussion in one post makes it really hard to find things >_<

Oh and does it normally take this long for AnimeOne to sub an episode? I'm waiting on 133 and it seems like 134 has been subbed by DB already.

yeah i think so. Although the general rule is speed doesn't equate to quality. Don't know if this is allowed but a brilliant site for fansub comparisions is anime-planet.com

We should start a couple of threads for a few series to maybe break it up a bit. Obviously not overkill though.

Just started watching Speed Grapher. And well that was an unusual first episode. The bit that was the most disturbing for me though was when the girl went to see that guy after his show. That was just cruel

I don't know what group other people are using but I'm using Lunar's subs and IMO they're ace. I'm not too clued up on the best FS groups around so I don't where abouts Lunar would rank relative to others. All I know is that every episode of Bleach I've watched has been done by them and it's always been easy to understand, no need for me to pause for a second trying to understand the sub.

ok that's cool. Didn't want to sound inpatient or ungrateful to the subbers when I posted but like I said, this is the first time I have been waiting on a FS episode so just wanted clarity that something wasn't wrong (such as AonE deciding to no longer sub it).

Thats the problem when a group rushes them out. They end up in engrish. Nothing like grammatical errors to ruin the flow of a scene. Theres a comparision website here specifically bleach episode 26. Its funny to see the differences in translating.

The only reason a group as big as AonE would drop a series like this is if it were to get licensed. Then you'd have to get it from a group that are not too bothered about that kind of thing

For Bleach, Lunar is good.
For Naruto, I used to be cautious of Dattebayo, but it appears that their subs are actually quite good.

That was my concern. Hasn't Naruto been licensed by Cartoon Netwook?

naruto was licensed a while ago, just don't expect Aone to be fast as they do have other projects to sub unlike DB, but then DB speed sub aren't to bad for what they are, so d/l them and replace them when Aone's are out.

As for Bleach go with Lunar like others have said, quality and very fast subbing!

Finished watching some more Eyeshield21, ep5 is a riot. You can so tell Sena gonna get a thrashing then Shinn gets on the pitch next episode, he's only just riding his luck at the moe. And Bleach ep 31 new one-off ending credit animation is such a huge freaking spoiler to.

Maybe i should up date the 1st post of this topic for helpful links, current popular shows(finished or still going) with subber info and description, and new show's for incoming new seasons.

By the way, I really like how they use a different sequence for each instance of the closing credits -- top-notch animation, and some really amazing character design. Gonna have to find myself a couple of Bleach desktop backgrounds.

As for Bleach, I've read most of the manga that takes places after episode 31 (I've read up to chapter 174 iirc)and I really like the direction it takes-there are lots of juicy battles coming soon that I just cannot wait to see animated as well as a couple of pretty big twists

I've almost given up on watching Speed Grapher, I've DL'd it twice and gotten Spanish fansubs, I really ought to be more careful! Next time I'll get an English one

I'd say Speed Grapher (geezer: grab Shinsen-Subs' version, it's proper English), Initial D 4th Stage and Negima. Perhaps add Tsubasa, too, but at the moment it's really average, the soundtrack (and not even all of it) its only redeeming feature.


Just finished watching Trinity Blood ep. 2, by the way. So far, it looks like a Hellsing rip-off (down to the way the main character releases his powers) with heavy Trigun influences, a correct character design, a good soundtrack, and hit-and-miss animation with some really awkward and unnnatural poses (case in point: Tres, when he's using his guns, looks like Dante with Alastor up his arse).

5 out of 10, but some potential. I'll keep watching for at least a few more episodes.

I'm gonna leave new show out, as you be able to see them in New show section, so it really older popular shows, Initial D is good one that ones always slips my mind, as i would love to stick Azumanga and Airmaster in, but AzM can be found on dvd now easily, and Airmaster not really that popular even though i love it to bits

Also for bleach ep31, even though those that haven't read the manga should be able to put 2 and 2 together for the spoiler, from the opening credits and this one of ending.
