I certainly haven't, i think that show hit years before i started watching anime in 02/03 when i discovered IRC and Newsgroups(donwloaded Hyper Police, tenchi and Figure 17) when before anime to me was 90's late night c4 with likes of lensman, Ninja scroll, Tank Police and MD Giest. Probably alot easier to find and buy a boxset than get torrent will have to look into it.

I have Tamayura to watch after seeing ova2 out for it wondering what it was, went and found ova1. Loaded nearly everything onto MAL for this season but expect to cut the samurai catgirl stuff and that low budget fight club thing for starters, struggling to make myself sit through them. Ironman ep 2 was just as crap as the first... one more ep chance.. then delete town. Squid Girl was surpisingly good.

Fate/Stay Night film... well this felt to me like they had taken random fights and scenes from the games(which i've not played) given them super animation and a rough order to play them in , i did enjoy the fights based on my knowledge from the tv show, as this went on a different route. One to avoid if you haven't a clue of the tv show or the games.

Sankaku complex are reporting that the ATX version of TLR removes the fog and light beams \o/ . Now just got to hope they do some of the more inventive manga chapters...

Soredemo was a little slow to get into, but once everyone arrived at the cafe together it really took off in typical Shaft style.

(pinched from my post on rllmuk)

Just back from seeing Redline. Thoroughly impressed. The flow of the movie is pretty simplistic so there's not a lot that can surprise you but it's just a whole lot of beautifully animated fun. Some amazing charcaters in it as well.

Had Jonathan Clements on just before it having a wee bit of a waffle and his 2 cents was that it was essentially like the film The Cannonball Run. Somewhere else I read a review which boiled it down to "if you want to show someone something anime and not feel ashamed of having them watch it, this is the film".

Both of these I think are pretty damn spot on, so when it comes out whatever the means, give it a watch.

No doubt I will re-edit this post tomorrow after my senses return and I'm in a more fit state to think properly.

              Summer Wars and Trigun next!

Kuragehime ep1 - i don't know how i missed it when it aired a few weeks ago but its a great little slice of life about a bunch nerdy socially retarded women living in an apartment together, i think this just about tops soredemo and tamayura for my fav show of the season. By the guys that did Natsume a couple of season ago (and helped with Aria).

Soredemo ep2, great stuff again with Hotori causing trouble for the town without thinking stuff through

Tamayura ep1/2 - you right about show jeff, really good and very Aria like even down to a pink fuffy copy of the president and slow ploddingness of each episode but with alot of detail around each scene. Looking foward to ep3.

Amagami ep13-15, what a difference a new girl makes in each fresh start, i couldn't stand the shy titted freshman, the one nicknamed Sexy Hair was alright but not close to the nutcase airhead in the 1st arc. Ai normalness is refreshing, easily makes her best of the 4 girls(so far with Fatty and Bitch to go) making me glad i stuck with it.

Arakawa S2 - more good stuff from the nutters and homeless onthe riverbank, the amazon bit was great and so was the EDF nutter

with the other regulars buying into the alien fighting force stuff, when Sister just out the window i couldn't stop laughing.

. new ending is a creepy as it is ace with Hoshi getting a real life actor like Chief last season, but doing it in a music video style.

Black Lagoon ova2 - sadly no fighting but alot of setting up the story for the blood letting thats bound to happen soon, rock almost looking like it knew what he was doing what nice to see for once

Soredemo is easily my fav show so far this season and can see it getting more ridiculous each week

Still need to check out Kuragehime and Soredemo.

Still finding SnO funny as ever, Oreimo is fairly cute and funny, TWGOK is great

Lots of good shows this season, unusual for there to be ~5 shows that keep my attention.

Just watched Soredemo 1 & 2. It's great, made me chuckle out loud more than a few times which is pretty rare for me.

Kuragehime... Seems like a fairly cute shoujo but those those character designs do detract from it. I'll give it kudos for having genuinely unattractive characters which is something you rarely see in these types of series though.

A lot of people have been comparing it to Genshiken which kinda fits if you think about it although obviously the character roles have been flipped round. Quite liked it though. It's a lot less obviously Shoujo-y than Zakuro is this season.

                        Also, copy and paste my thoughts on Trigun and Haruhi movies I saw at the weekend;
                        Trigun -
Had no idea what it was about in terms of synopsis or where it lay with the series but it seems to be a Cowboy Beebop affair; fits into the main series fairly seamlessly but before any major events have occured in the series.

From the little spech beforehand, the director was apparently aiming for something that was intended to be watched with beer and popcorn and produces a lot of laughs. Mission accomplished.
Doesn't take long before the trademark Vash humour comes into play and it's done as well as it was in the series (complete with all the original voice cast if memory serves me). Animation was looking pretty damn sweet as well and it's nice to see Vash animated with the budget of 2010.

Minor criticisms; couple of the supposed major plot points are fairly obvious and some of the altter half is missing a bit of Vash related humour and action (for various reasons).

Other than that, a very very good film which doesn't let down the series or name.

                        Disappearance of Haruhi.

I'll start of by saying that being stuck next to a string of Haruhi fanatics was not enjoyable even more so because they were french.

That aside, the film was very very good. A lot better than the sorry excuse for a second season they tried to pass off previously. Supposedly they stuck to the novel rigidly and as far as I can tell from my own personal experience, they seemed to have done just that. Possibly this is a fair reason why the film is 3 hours long.

Despite it feeling long I wasn't really struck by it feeling uncessarily long but I can see how those with weak bladders or the attention span of a tit might suffer. Animation was probably the best I've seen KyoAni do and my only major complaints would be that there were occasional scenes of K-On-ism which were annoying and that a couple of Kyon's monologues (one right near the end to be exact) were possibly slightly too faithfully stuck to and could have been slightly condensed.

It covers the rest of the important cast (i.e everyone except Mikuru) quite well in showing different sides of them than usual. Nagato's was especially well done.

That aside, if you enjoyed the (proper) first series and want more of the proper story then it's well worth it.

Panty & Stocking 3: WHAT THE FU..

                          Comment

The second series of Haruhi was decent, provided you skipped 6 eps. Some masterful trolling by Kyoto Animation there.

Was worth watching just to see Kyon completely lose it and for Haruhi to actually have to deal with the consequences of her taking something too far.

So no one watched the first two episodes Index II then?

Also didn't like Soredemo at all, just found the whole thing completly uninteresting and not funny whatsoever. Dropped.

Uuffff, didn't think i'd find anyone that disliked soredemo , each to there own.

As for index, it a case of same old, little bits of action, **** loads of talking but now combined with railguns fan service(more so). I know what to expect so can't be arsed to talk about it, I can already see myself getting annoyed when we see Touma talking to a boss for a full episode to set up a 5 mins fight the next.
