with Diva being pregnant with Riku kids(which I thought had happened when the timeskip happened but has taken a while to come to around. I?m also thinking for Saya to stay awake she will have to become pregnant herself Kai or Solomon babies anyone?

I guess it would have to be Solomon, since Kai managed to avoid drinking Diva's blood in Ep 42. That said, surely it would be self-defeating to become pregnant with kids when the whole idea is to kill of all Chiroptera. I realise Saya's promise with Haji is probably for him to kill her once she has defeated Diva, but I doubt she's the type to take two kids with her.

Anyone else really hooked on Ergo Proxy? The new subs for that can't come round fast enough

I don?t think Saya will kill herself in the end, but I doubt Haji will make through alive and Solomon destined to die(even if he does get Saya cherry, it would mean death for him right, like Riku?) which would leave Kai to get her in the end (I reckon thats his hand at the end of the new OP). Forgot mention David taking a bullet in the stomach, wasn?t expecting him to keel over being the hard nut he is, and hopefully he won?t die after playing his ?save love interest? card. Roll on ep43 which I should hopefully have by tonight.

I like Ergo Poxey but lost some of it?s ?WOW? from the first couple of episodes, maybe it down to how slow any group is subbing (following shinsen?s notorious sporadic releases). Heard it goes abit Spiderman Clone crap later on from those that have watched it raw.

Yep. I feel the same. Ergo Proxy after the first episode had me seriously impressed and I was thinking it could be one of the best shows of the year(even an early contender for the best one of the year) if it kept up like that. But after the last few episodes that I've seen(including the most recent one to be subbed), I've been less and less impressed with it. I'll still watch it as it's better than some shows I've seen to the end but I'm nowhere near as enthusiastic about it now as I was at the beginning. Having seen some more recent shows that I prefer to it and that I personally think are better(SuzuHaruhi, Simoun, H&C2,Black Lagoon and Saiunkoku to name a few), I don't see it falling in my top 10 for the year or even overall as I had originally thought. I'll wait and see how it finishes before judging it of course, as it may well turn around completely. Disappointed is the main word I'd use so far.

Yeah, I was guessing Haji wouldn't make through to the end after he told Riku that he would have to stay by Saya's side, and at the same time implying that Haji wouldn't be able to. The fight between Haji and Solomon should be a good watch even though it's surely in their best interests to work together to protect Saya, and Solomon must know that if it all comes to a head, he's not going to be able to easily choose between his emotions for Saya and his connection to Diva. I'm glad you mentioned Kai's hand at the end of the opening OP as I was thinking exactly the same thing.

I'm surprised you guys are disappointed by Proxy, I only got round to watching the 14 ep's recently, before watching them all through a second time with my bro and now we're both completely hooked. Horses for courses I guess

Well I guess more than anything it was down to my own expectations of Ergo Proxy(I was quite hyped about it before it started airing mainly because manglobe were behind it) and what kind of anime it'd be, compared to what it has so far turned out to be.

Blood+ new eps(including ep 43) have been decent on the whole. Confirmed what we thought happened during the incident with Riku. Not a big fan of the new OP. I preferred the song and animation from the 3rd one which I thought looked unique and was well animated. The new ED is quite catchy though, and I prefer it to the previous one.

David should survive(I hope). He survived a pretty brutal wound from earlier in the series which was more or less in the same area as this one and from a chiropteran. Some decent action in the recent ep with Solomon vs Hagi. With about 9 episodes left I should think they'll finally be gearing up to a big showdown which I'm looking forward to.

I am enjoying Proxy, though when the series first started, it seemed to come across as extremely deep and philosphical (and the creators have studies European mythology, I think), but it has become less so as the series has gone on. Not necessarily bad, just seems much less overbearing than it initially did. Almost like they didn't know where to go from there. I also think the art has taken a real ditch, too. It's keeping me entertained though, which is something other supposedly decent series have failed to do... I'm just not really sure where they're going with it.

Anyone know where these new Pino no Usagi subs have suddenly turned up from? The karaoke looks familiar to me, as if it's an old group under a different banner.
Shame they're not in HD too, as I think Ergo Proxy is a series that really benefits from it.

I always thought it was the other way around. It seemed to start out as a scifi action anime after a few episodes(but then I'm having a hard time remembering concrete details about certain things in the first few eps) and I thought it gradually became more pretentious/philosophical/confusing as it went on. Recent episodes for example where they've been visiting other domes

Great stuff specially when it started with Harmia being homeless which made ep15/16 the best for me (im still a ErixHarmia fan at heart, followed closely by YakumoxHarmia), then it kinder slowed down with the aftermath of the EriXHamira stuff which as expected got no pay off and went on to TenmaXharmia and random other characters. Dammit Eri just confess to Harmia and make him want you...

i think the Roberta stuff was just that good no matter what they came with next was going to be a disappointment which ep11/12 story was(i enjoyed it still but lack Roberta ) Chinese Sword lady and druggie driver made up for it abit, and some of Revi lines at the end about how Rock hadn't cracked yet made me laugh.

good episode, the stuff in the classroom was cringe worthly insaneness it made me feel sorry for him for the 1st time instead of laughing away at his misfortune.

ZoT ep7 - LOL the opening before the credits was well ace,

you could see it mile off when Louise told him to 'kiss her', with her meaning the hand and goes the whole hog with a smacker on the lips , rest of it was good to and enjoyed the little bit at the end when Louise was in the special black tipping outfit

Egro Proxy 15 -

That was just really random and quite a good episode overall. It was an interesting and unique way of revealing some of the background to the story/world. I even got a couple of laughs from it, with that bit about Real having work done to look younger. It seems it was another proxy fight(unless I got the wrong end of the stick) and if some of the stuff in the episode is to believed there's about 300 of them in total. I make it about 5 or 6 that we've come across now. I doubt we'll see them all though, they'll probably just explain that most have been killed off already or something. I suppose if I was being super cynical, I'd have liked for them to explain how they got there but I guess it's not that important in the grand scheme of things. I could have probably done with seeing it much earlier because it's one of my favourite episodes of the bunch so far and has made my impression of the series more favourable.

ZnT ep7 - I think you covered the best bit, another good 'un. Very enjoyable series so far without really being all that brilliant. Still as long as it keeps me entertained I'm happy. Easily pleased I guess

Good episode and emotional in parts, the bit in Hachi?s bedroom where Nana O finially tells her about her past(followed by the her saying she could be her boyfriend, as her heart was fluttering, and NanaO telling her she should be more worried about herself thinking like that ) and then at the end in the concert with both crying.

Yeah. They were decent enough, I can't really remember anything that annoyed me about them though. So if you want your fix now then I'd say go for it.

ep15 was certainly an interesting way of telling the background information on project poxy, but I enjoyed ep16 more as it had almost Aria lazy attitude to it and Real?s increasing insanity is assuming to watch as are the fan service shots and pino taking the piss in her makeup

really strong animation and art for this episode after it looked to cutting corners in previous episodes, same old lazy ways spread across 2 short stories in summer with pigtails and the president finding another cat?s hide out and the glowing wind chime being the other.

Zed, seems to have cooled his head and done some growing up, Reia past is starting to come out and Noa been quickly (and easily) brainwashed and is acting like a total dickhead. Quite the turn around liked Noa at first and disliked Zed but now it totally reversed with me wishing a swift comeuppance for Noa murdering Kis.

Yeah, I enjoyed Ergo Proxy ep 16 more even though there was little to no plot revelations as in ep 15. Slice of life meets Ergo Proxy is the best way to describe or as you put it an Aria style episode, I think you mentioned the best bits but I particularly enjoyed Pino's impressions of Real throughout the episode. Quite a funny episode all in all. I thought the animation/art sucked donkey balls though. Really, really poor. Suzuka levels of crap(which was the first thing that came to mind when watching it), which is something I'd expect in low budget h-game adaptations like say Lamune, Canvas 2 etc... but not something like EP. I hear they are redoing certain scenes for the DVD releases and IMO this ep is a prime candidate for a touch up. Episode 17 was a lot better in that respect, much more consistent with the characters. Ep17 -

Can't remember all that much except that I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous two episodes. Come across some weird grey humanoid thingies, which I have no idea about, humans who mutated because of the poisonous atmosphere? Seems like the end of Raul as well. End of the ep had a rocket heading somewhere and it looked to me to be quite close to where Real and Vincent were so I'm guessing it was headed for the Moscow dome. Daedalus' obsession with Real is disturbing. This guy makes Mayama look like a normal person.

Really enjoy watching Innocent Venus. Decent action in every episode I've seen so far (4)


Also, do you think they'll get round to animating the Fate/Stay Night sequel "Fate/Hollow Ataraxia"?
