    Are people just thick?

Yeah, I'd use Buy Now for that email address. BARGAIN!

Well as expected, the Unpaid Item Dispute has done no good at all and the buyer hasn't responded to the reminder or any emails I've sent. Unfortunately that court system for claiming unpaid money only works if both parties are based in England.

So, it looks like Mr Errol Bryan from Gloucester was a timewaster from the start and as per some of his feedback, he will bid on items even if he has no intention of buying them.

      Great.

          Ebay evils..

Just sold a Nomad today on ebay. Let it go on auction starting at 99p and ended up on 155 squidos! At first I was well chuffed but Im starting to worry now. The high bidder has zero feedback, the yellow man (which means hes only been on for less than 30 days i think) and the dodgiest name and address I've seen. It says kuwait?! and his name is mohahmed ahmed. Taking the piss? Hes still not replied yet either.

Should i be worried? Any of you guys had a similar experience/bidder?

I catagorically state that I will not ship abroad, I get fed up of what I assume are con artists asking me If I can ship it to their cousin in Nigeria/Kuwait/Hon Kong

I had something similar a while back when I was trying to get shot of an old phone, the auction ended up at about £130 so I knew something was up. Shortly after I got notification from eBay that the auction had been voided, but not before the winner tried to con the phone out of me.

Be very careful, whatever you do. The one I did had submitted funds but they weren't available to withdraw until he gave approval (Kind of like a post dated cheque - can't remember the specifics).

Best thing, as has been said, is to make it clear in the auction that you don't ship outside of the UK.

Well as things stand, I can still issue a second chance offer to the next bidder. This guys in London and has 90 feedback. Plus he/she bid up to 150 quid. So i might just do that. Im like 99% positive this guys a con artist anyway. check out the address..

                    ahmed mahamed
                    bayan - block 1 - jada 4 - house 2 - street 2

Yeah, certainly seems like it. Did your auction state that you wouldn't ship abroad? If so then I'd just message the guy saying so and offer it to the next in the queue.

Although I understand your reservations, I can't see why the actual address is dodgy.

If you only want to post items in the UK, change your ebay preferences to reflect that. Then no-one outside of the UK can see your auction. You can also 'hide' your items for sale from other would-be ne'er-do-wells by prefering not to allow people below a certain rating to see your ebay goods either. I set this up after being bitten by someone in Azerbajan or Timbuctoo or wherever that evil fecker was from and it works like a charm!

How about the fact that there is no postal service in Kuwait. That would be a good start for me.

Good point. Although I dare say the middle east norm of a PO box would have rung even more alarm bells.

When my parents lived in Kuwait their street address was also a jumble of arabic, english and numbers.
