I don't mind the medal idea to be honest. Race to win rather than finishing second is surely a better alternative than what we have at the moment.

Kubica was still in the title hunt with 3 races to go, and he had just the one race win all season - It doesn't seem right to me.

A lot of drivers and teams are playing the percentages game in my opinion, Alonso was a prime example in his winning efforts.

If I recall it right, they closed up the points system because Schumi was dominating, and they wanted to make it look closer than it was.

I think it needs an overhaul, anything to make them go racing a bit more.

I disagree with this, its a season long sport not just a sprint to the finish. Lots of motorsport titles have been won by people who consistantly pick up points over the season. Thats a skill in itself. It's a completely different argument as to why F1 is dull.

Brundle is now confirmed as a commentator for the BBC. Excellent.
        Excellent indeed!

Exactly. A)F1 is dull due to cars being too aero fragile and thus unable to overtake. B) Drivers who wont risk it due to the current points system and A)
C)Crappy circuits designed for TV that aren't fast or flowing enough to allow for decent slipstreaming.

They panic too much and try to fix what isn't broken with endless regulation changes and always end up screwing it up to some degree. In my opinion of course.

Absolutely, this medals thing is a knee jerk reaction to the fact that Hamilton finished 5th at the last race but still won the chempionship. Of course, that could've been an off the cuff remark by Bernie to rattle some cages - certainly worked on me!

This could cost Bernie a few bob...

It's that "divorce.html" bit that gives it away I guess

Mark Webber has broken a leg in a cycling event - Not sure it will affect him for next season, but not good all the same.

                      Get well soon mate.

It will **** up his pre season prep. Vettel will shaft him next season, I reckon.

Spooky, almost as though somebody has photoshopped it. (??) I wish him well though, if he gets the seat.

EDIT: I think it may well be a manipulated image, its seems too good to be true. The wrinkles around the eyes seem odd for such a young guy and remind me of His uncle in '93 or '94.

Don't think it's shopped; looks like Bruno to me, guess I never noticed just how similar his eyes are.

Still, spookily similar. Next up will be the Mansell moustache and eyebrows. I am sure his boys will be the next 'family' name to appear.
