I don't care if it's just three teams able to win again so long as the guy in second place actually has a chance of overtaking ON TRACK instead of in the pits next year. Imagine seeing a lap where the leaders swap places three times all due to skill and balls. It'll be great. As with any changes though, it could all be for the worse but only time will tell that.

The season's been close but the only excitement has been from incidents and rain. The races themselves this season when conditions have been fine have been especially sleep inducing. Races with no overtaking lack excitement. The only action of regular races now occurs in the pit lanes.

Get rid of fuel stops. Simple really as the drivers would have to pace the race and protect their tyres, like in the good old days.

And the reason for the close season was more to do with the incompetence of the leading pair and team cock ups. MS would have walked it this year I feel in that Ferrari.

I really wish they'd do this, it would make things much more interesting.

No pit stops for fuel, manual gearbox, steel brakes, slick tyres = Heaven

Especially the manual gearbox, it's just incredible watching all those old F1 videos.

                And for this too.

Good god, the Ferrari is going to look ****. The won't need track cleaners next year as they will have a fleet of them turning up every other Sunday. The fastest snow plows in the world. Christ on a bike.

There'll be a lot of wings knocked off I reckon.

Disagree with getting rid of fuel stops - it sometimes adds a massive amount of drama to otherwise boring races.

And the thing about people understanding medals over points, that just ridiculous. Anyone with the slightest interest in motorsport understands points. Does he think that the uninterested masses are suddenly going to flock to F1 because of gold medals?

What he wants is the winner of the most races to be champ, and that's fair enough but I think medals is just silly. It's F1, not the olympics for gawds sake. The way he looks at it is as LH and FM were both on equal wins, prior to Brazil, the winner of the final race would've been be champ. Under his system, FM would have number 1 on his car next year as he had six wins to to Lewis' five.

Looks like we're not the only ones who don't like the new look - BMW's drivers hate it too!

I was thinking that the higher wing would allow more rearward vision.

Brundle is now confirmed as a commentator for the BBC. Excellent.

I suppose that would be fair enough. A return to the old point system might have the same result, or a bigger difference between points for 1st and second - maybe 12 points for first instead.
