He's done tests before and I think he did pretty well. He's also done Rally GB before too.

I see Raikkonen is going to do the Finalnd round of the WRC too, not sure what category he'll be competing in though.

He's in an S2000 spec Fiat Grande Punto Abarth, so I reckon that's PWRC?

Reads like total conjecture. Nothing to back any of that up at all.

Rossi did an interview with Suzi Perry about a month or so ago about the Rallying/F1 and his future. Going off memory he said that it was a realistic option (by serving as the test driver for a year prior to a race seat) but the time had passed.

If testing is going to stay as restricted then there probably wouldn't be any chance of it now. I don't expect the third car option to be realistic but if it did happen you could see a wildcard entry for the Italian GP being the only chance of him actually participating in a race.

Serious? Jesus... Bernie's old enough to have been around in WWII isn't he, does anyone know what he was up to back then? Maybe he got rejected from the army for being too short and the experience of being stuck at home turned him into a bitter Nazi supporter?

Who on earth needs Goodwood when you have Lichfield's Cars in the Park?!? http://www.carsinthepark.com/

Just psyching myself up to go and see it for a few hours.

He's not entirely wrong. Dictatorships (or forms of governance with an unchallenged leader) do have their advantages and their disadvantages just like democracies have their disadvantages.

To butcher a quote about the problem with democracies : 51% of people could vote to piss in the water of the other 49%. This is why we don't have referendums on every issue and why the Queen and the house of lords are in place as unelected individuals with power to serve as checks and balances.

If you do not recognise that even abhorrent forms of governance had their plus sides you're doomed not to learn from the mistakes of the past.

More food for thought: Without Stalin's five year plan, Russia would have been steamrolled by Hitler and Europe would have been lost (and arguably, Hitler would have had the bomb before the US and the missile tech to deliver it). We were reliant on a man who was responsible for more deaths than the holocaust for our victory over Germany.

Somehow I doubt Bernie put his comment in that much context.

No discussion on the MotoGP? Still waiting to find out if Lorenzo is good to race after his second crash in the qualifying.

Pretty eventful WTCC this weekend as well.

Come back all sunburnt from Goodwood today after thinking it wouldn't be sunny.

Will post some pictures up once i've sorted through the good ones.

I had a great day at Goodwood on Friday, lovely weather and lots of action. Didn't get a chance to see too much on track though as we thought getting there a little later would mean better traffic, how wrong was that

Not spent much time at the rally stage before so really enjoyed seeing that and the cars get so close in places.

nice to see Pedrosa back again, after all the badluck he had this is great for him and for Honda, hope he can keep this going for the next races, would be great to see a 4th contender for the championship.
