I wonder if any bookies do bets for the front 5 not changing places at all past the 2nd lap (excluding pits), Shouldn't imagine you'd get very good odds.

      Jeez, what a boring race.

Wasn't as bad as others but yeh quite boring!

Not really a Schumacher fan, but you've got to love that overtake on the last corner.

Though he's just been given a 20 second penalty for it, which demotes him to 12th.

I agree with Shumi/Merc on this one.

The Stewards should have just let the race finish behind the pace car instead of trying to cover their arses from the inevitable bitching, moaning and droning.

I agree, Bort; if there's a rule that says the SC will come into the pits on the last lap then that's always going to cause confusion with the this new rule regarding the SC line before the pit straight.

The photos Ross Brawn had seemed pretty hard to argue with.

I'm with Schumacher & Mercedes too. Seemed 100% fair & square to me.

I'm more amazed they picked up on Schumacher but did nothing about Rubens B throwing his steering wheel onto the track for another car to hit.

The team will give him hell for that. Those steering wheels are VERY expensive.

I managed to catch most of the race weekend and really enjoyed it.

Mark Webber deserves the acclaim he's currently receiving. A completely dominating drive, with no real worries and he even managed to pull out such a lead he exited from his pit stop back in the lead!

My favourite drive of the weekend goes to Kubica. He had been pushing the Renault hard and driving completely on the edge of the cars abilities. On board he was fighting the wheel more the than his position! The only real disappointment was that the time gap he was gaining on Vettel was nullified by the safety car bunching them back up. Then the Red Bull used its advantage and pulled away again.

Very unexpected failures too. Jensen's engine cover being left on reminded me of the time when a car was left on the grid with the jacks still underneath the car! Does anyone remember who that happened to? Both Williams going off was a huge blow, both caused by a mechanical or tyre fault as well.

Also I loved the few laps of fighting between Alonso and the back markers. It was a real spirited drive by those guys and Alonso sticking his hands out the Ferrari in frustration was brilliant! They were not just going to pull over, it was a fight for position but as Brundle pointed out, they were in different races.

On the commentary side I felt that Legard is really improving. He was more insightful to the history of the sport, gave some funny quips that had been said over the weekend and has stopped treating the coverage as a radio broadcast.

All in all, a great race. Monaco rarely disappoints.

Raging about Schumi, I'm not a big fan of his or anything but I loved the move he done and was really applauding him at the time for having the balls to try it. So it's a real shame to be penalised for it.

Seems a stupid decision about Schumi. Just out of interest did Massa get a fine/penalty for the next race for his blocking of Button during qualy?

Only three speeding fines and the Shumi decision on the FIA site. - http://www.fia.com/en-GB/mediacentre...on_event.aspx# - . He appears to have gotten away with it.
