Nice, can I have lots of cool free stuff and some tickets to the British GP?

What do you mean no? How about some tickets to the Silverstone test sessions?

I get offered free tickets for Silverstone every year but have only accepted them a couple of times as getting down there, queuing to get in, getting out, etc. is all a bit of a slog. Tempted to go this year though.

Nothing more to say that to agree that James Allen is indeed a twat, how ITV continue to employ his is beyond me.

I wish I could watch a race with English commentary! I would happily put up with JA. The best pairing was probably on Eurosport with John Watson and Ben Edwards.

Yeah, Eurosport's commentry was pretty decent, not as good as the BBC's Murray Walker/James Hunt team though. Those were the days.

I always liked Murray and Jonathon Palmer partnership. Palmer was pretty boring, but it seemed to work well having someone really knowledgable on the technical side alongside old exciteable Murray.

Martin Brundle was good alongside Murray but really has nothing to work with now he has James Allen alongside him. Definitely get Ben Edwards over to the F1 (they use him for the Touring Cars) alongside Brundle, I think that would work well.

Just a case of how they get rid of James Allen, I can only assume he has a pretty watertight contract or surely he would have been replaced by now.

heidfeld will def win a race this year, and i have a feeling it will be a blinder.

im glad that we only have to wait a few days for the bahrain GP!

I think either massa or raikkonen will win this one though.

                  also is it true..

i heard a rumor that Ross braun, michael schumacher & Eddie Jordan are setting up a new F1 team?

                  Comment

It's unlikely but stranger things have happened in the past so you never know. Successful F1 drivers don't necessarily make good team bosses as we saw with Alain Prost. Of course Schumi is so clever that he will make sure that it's other peoples money that's spent not his. The Schumacher name stands for excellence (excluding Ralf, of course), so would he be happy to run a midfield team against the big guns of the sport?

Jordan should be put out to pasture in my opinion. He had his chance, couldn't make it work so sold out to Midland. I recall him moaning about Prodrive getting the available slot, but that's life.

Yeah, the BMW's are looking strong. I'm not allowed to like them though, what with them being Williams' arch-enemy and all.

don't know if any of you guys read it up,

but Super Aguri are hoping to win their 1st grand prix some time in 2008.

Don't laugh & say dream on though, because i think from the start of this year they are some what of a dark horse.

The team officially should be the new honda A team, as Button will leave ofcourse for the williams drive.

Ive just had to stop watching itvs build-up to the race, because it was doing my head in.

Hamilton, Hamilton, Hamilton, Hamilton blah blah blah.

Jesus Christ, you would think he was the second messiah or something the way they are going about him. Apart from one small bit on Kubica thats all they talked about.

I actually think he is doing an amazing job as well, and there is definitely something freakish about his driving abilities, but there are 21 other drivers out there as well. He is in one of the top two teams, and as such he has certain immediate benefits over other rookies, such as being able to avoid getting stuck behind other cars for one thing whilst also being fortunate not to bei in the middle of the pack at the first corner.

In some ways I really want Hamilton to win today (and I think he will), but I will have to mute the volume before he crosses the finishing line, because I think that Twathead himself James Allen is capable of finding new decibel ranges to annoy us with (and please himself in the bargain).

Please ITV try and focus your programme into a more neutral basis. And get Ben Edwards in for Allen.

God Im in a ****ty mood today

Welcome to the Hamilton era! Jenson Who?

At least Fernando is still leading the championship. Only one month to go!

ok, i've calmed down now. maybe I was on too many e-numbers or something....

I thought it was a decent race, much closer than recent ones, especially involving the lead of the race. Two really good overtaking manouevers, Coulthard passing Fisichella, and the best one involving Heidfeld taking Alonso. Really close, their wheels almost touched. The fact that Raikkonen was stuck behind Alonso for so long shows that overtaking still needs to be improved on the cars.

Heidfeld drove an absolutely brilliant race, and destroyed Kubica who is no slouch. Hamilton goes from strength to strength, and will definitely win a few races this year. BBC Sports Personality of the Year guaranteed. Coulthard drove like he had a rocket up his arse, and the Red Bulls I reckon can only get better.

You've got to wonder what has happened to Renault, they were totally off the pace again, and Fisichella and Kovalainen combined cannot make up for the loss of Alonso. Thought it was really funny when Briatore started shouting at Fisichella over the radio.

For the first time since the points system changed a few years ago, they seemed to have made things really close. You couldn't really predict a champion at this stage, although I reckon Alonso will shade it by the end of the year.

And thankfully James Allen wasn't as annoying today as he usually is. Roll on Barcelona. I hope what they have done to the last two corners there has improved the overtaking onto the back straight.
