You keep it in here, maybe you'll inspire some others to faff around with the video modes a bit more.

Thanks
For a point & shoot it's not bad. I can't wait to get stuck into some proper DSLR video in the new year with the 60D.
I also took some photographs with the G12 yesterday

Put together another video too - not as `grand` as the first one (in that there's not even any sound) but this time it's a test of the G12's Miniature Mode.
A quick test of the G12's Miniature mode. Shot at x10 speed - the flashes aren't caused by the sun moving, rather the snow catching the light as it melted off the trees.
Shame we can't embed all videos on here

I like the colour in that first one spatial and the 2nd one is cool too, I'd be tempted to try and boost up the white a little though.
Here are some wintery ones I took

Have to agree with Spatial, that skyline is lovely. I do like it when the sky graduates like that.
As well as my DSLR, I got a Panasonic compact last year, and have been trying to make more use of it, so had it with me over the last week or so.

To get a long exposure in that last one, I had to rig up a load of adaptors, step up rings and filters - looks quite crazy when all connected !!

Some nice shots there EB, like the girl on the beach looking out to sea. The square crop can make for an interesting composition sometimes.
It's not one I often use, but I thought it fitted my shot for the Amateur Photographer forum competition this month.

I had a few alternatives, but I thought this shot might be a little bit too minimalist ...

Have been shooting more film the last week or so, and I've finally gotten around to getting the development stuff out. Need some stop chems tho, but it'll be good to get back in the darkroomLast edited by MartyG; 15-01-2011, 17:13.

I really haven't been using my Nikon D200 and all the lenses and gubbins that I have for for it so sold it all on eBay last week for £750 and now have a brand new Panasonic Lumix GF1 with the 20mm pancake lens as I wanted a bridge camera. I never seemed to be bothered to get my big DSLR out when I needed and was really happy the price I got for it. The GF1 is really nice, just what I wanted (a bridge camera with interchangeable lenses). Will post some pics in a bit

The GF1 is a nice bit of kit - I keep looking at these and the Olympus EP / Sony NEX - not as an SLR replacement, but as an alternate lighter bit of kit when the SLR is a bit too bulky. Mind, my D40 is almost as dinky with the right lens.
If we're splitting hairs it's a Compact System Camera, rather than a bridge camera.
