    Sorry but there are more!

    And finally...
The vegas they want you to see:

    And what it's actually like!

like the shot in #4589 Pete, that black dead space at the top with the lights below works really nicely.

I have been shooting stuff most days the last couple of weeks, but nothing I've really especially liked. Been playing about with them in photoshop, blending and tweaking, stuff I don't normally do with my shots and came up with this result.

( Taken with the Canon 10D that I seem to be carrying more often atm )

        Another gig last night, and liking how much better I'm getting with manual focus on the Nikkor 50mm - still very tempted to investigate the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 HSM as a replacement once it's out though. Really pleased with these 3;

Marty, the textures in your shot are wonderful!

Fuse, that second shot is awesome!

Anyhoo, here are (quite) a few more of my holiday snaps:

          Muir Woods, San Francisco

          Grand Canyon

Cars out the back of Snow Cap Cafe, Seligman, Arizona

Rock'em Sock'Em Robots in the New York, New York Casino in Vegas (size of men they were!)

Graffiti in the Haight/Ashbury district of San Francisco

          Nevada sign (no really!) -

          L.A. Sunset

Sorry for taking up this page with all my shots! If you want to see any more, take a look here. All comments appreciated!

I want another holiday now you bastards

Fuse, loving the band shots, VERY good. Dan/Pete, LA looks good, seems there were many many ops for great shots. Spag, like the first shot a lot, shame you didn't have a tripod for the second though but I'm guessing it wasn't a set up shot so what can you do, nice and steady for a long exposure as is.

My shots from last summer at the Hip-Hop Festival have finally been put somewhere useful. Check them out if you get the time, I think they look good (if a little on the small side when viewed properly):

Link to the site from my flickr page (clicky-clicky).

I tried leaning against a palm tree Was a great chance to try out some different styles of shots, as well as get a nice tan I was buzzing when the monkey came down, the boat was rocking a fair bit so was amazed that the pic came out as well as it did.

Some amazing shots guys. Really mind-blowing stuff actually. I don't even know where to start!

Pete and Dan, your travel shots are seriously fantastic. I don't think I need to go away this year now, I've seen enough right here!

Spags, you only just got the camera and look at what you've got! And with the kit lens too. Those two landscape shots need to get printed out and stuck up on your wall.

Alastair, I really liked that B&W one of your shoes. I remember those hip hop shots from the first time around, but it's good to see them again.

Fuse, I'm dead impressed with those gig shots. Your last couple of gigs have shown a real quantum leap in quality. Nice work! Also: Merzbow AND Boris? What a masochist!

I've been doing a fair range of stuff lately, but really haven't got around to uploading anything for ages. I'm starting a Project 365 to get me to actually upload things a bit more often. I'm also shooting another club next weekend, which should be fun. I'm still considering the 17-55 2.8 IS. It'd be so useful for those low-light indoor environments. Either that or saving up for the beautiful 35mm 1.4. *insert drool here*

Went to the Rutland Falconry & Owl Centre today, sadly the birds weren't flying today but instead where teathered to wooden posts :/ Still it gave me a chance to take some decent close-ups

Jesus christ the quality on this page is simply stunning.

                        Well done to all.

Not being doing a lot lately - pretty busy with work - but here's an effort from me:

Just booked myself an 11 day trip to the Galapagos Islands in August - cost a fortune but the photo opportunities are outrageous. Can't wait!

One more from Thailand, my girl thinks its dull as dish water but it makes me want to go back for a paddle.

I think you've got some good use of dead space there spags - nothing wrong with that shot.

Another couple from my trip to the falconry centre ...
