Nice colours. Did you do anything especially fun to it?

I like the dark TVR shot a lot, though I'd try cropping the bottom off and adding some black to the top. as it feels a bit uneven with that composition.

The low down shot is basically two identical layers blended together using the Multiply blending mode. It really saturates and give a nice filmy look I think. Some areas go far too dark though so have to be erased with a layer mask but that's no big deal.

As for framing on the dark Cerbera shot. I took a couple the other way round and liked this better, Explore on Flickr is proof that it's fine to me

I've managed to put together (finally) a website that works and that I am very happy with:

                    Funky Photos (www.funky-photos.co.uk)

It's still in progress and I have a few more bits and bobs to add, but it's open for viewing and comments

Anybody have any experience with photography in severe winter and snow conditions? A friend of mine will be holidaying in Hokkaido in Japan, renowned for its extreme low temperatures and he was wondering how safe it would be to use his digital cameras (a regular point and shoot and an SLR) outdoors.

Is there a proper procedure to observe when bringing the hardware outdoors from a warm environment inside, and vice versa? I know that the batteries will lose their charge very quickly but other than that, I'm stuck for suggestions.

Taka - other than what you've mentioned about the batteries I don't know I'm afraid. Depends how extreme the cold is I guess - if nothing else I'd be wary of dramatic sudden changes in temperature.

There may be a slight bit of condensation on the lenses when going to a warm environment, but any fogging will disappear in a minute or two.
