Likewise I prefer the colour, but can see why you did the b&w. I think the colour would be better with a slight crop on the right side, but the b&w works well with it still there. Weird

I really do like the shot though, I love urban decay shots as I don't really see the subjets down 'ere

I like the colour coming from the staircase on the right of the colour version though, It's tricky.

Where are you Pete? Devon isn't it? You make it sound right posh, don't you have any decay?

Well of course we do, but not to the extent that makes a shot particularly interesting. I can't remember the last time I saw a burnt out car or sofa dumped on the side of the road.

Lucky bugger, we've plenty here in Brighton you could borrow if you like.

Saw an amazing burnt out car on Sunday when out for a walk, was all rusty and glowing orange in the sun, actually quite beautiful in a nasty criminal scum kind of way! Didn't have the camera with me

Uploaded a pic for the first time in ages to my flickr account - nothing particularly special, but I liked the colours in it ( tis a flower macro ).

And always have a camera with you

B&W can do wonders at times.

Peanuts, nice image. But, have you cropped it? It feels a little too tight on the right and more height at the top would make the image stronger IMO.

                    Cheers, Gareth.

Yes I had to crop it as otherwise it would be just too generic, i.e a swing seat in a park.. You are right though so maybe I will go and reshoot it at some point.

                      Fancy a shag?

                      Or some starlings?

Had my first go at shooting football today. Only saw 5 minutes of the match and no exciting action though. Still fun trying to follow the ball around!

Alastair, you really have the golden touch whan it comes to photos. Great shot!

Thanks mate Were you referring to the football shot? It was just a case of getting the sun behind me and waiting for something half interesting to happen. Not too much skill involved in that shot really.

Are people struggling to get out and shoot now it's getting dark so early? I'm trying to make the most of every day where the weather's nice and am lucky to only work 4 days a week. I have a little something planned for tomorrow but wont spill the beans in case the forecast changes or I can't take any good shots!!

Yeah, I keep looking for stuff in the house to photograph, but I've not really turned out anything particularly interesting - definitely been doing less shooting since it started getting dark at 6pm and earlier :/

I have some wedding photos that were taken by someone who has since gone out of business. How can I have them reprinted/copied? Apparently I have to wait for another 90 years before the copyright ends. I wanted them done for Christmas.

Any advice from any of you as I know very very little about these things?

                                Thanks
