Royal Mail Strike - Quick Question?

Have to say I have, more recently, been ending up with other peoples post. The one item that arrived only had the number "21" in common with the rest of my address

One thing that I got bothered about last week though, and I don't think this was RM btw, was that a delivery driver couldnt be bothered coming down our road so he gave the package to someone else to deliver! Our road is basically closed in the middle, and he must have come in at the wrong end, so instead of going out and coming back around to our end, he just went as far as he could and got someone else (at least 200m or so) to walk to my house with it. Bloody cheeky. I re-iterate though that I don't think that was a RM/Parcelforce company.

Although it's not happened to me, at least i don't think it has, I have lost a couple of parcels a couple of years ago right enough, I have ended up with other people's mail once or twice since i moved to this address, which considering the amount of years I have been here is not bad, but still it's extremely worrying that your mail could go elsewhere, especially if it was a bank statement or something similarly important, infact I don't want anybody having anything sent to me, and I think you can sue Royal mail when this happens, especially if the letter was then opened.

It's still a serious offence to tamper with mail, one of the most serious there is.

I just received a letter... not addressed to me, not even for someone with a similar name. Actually, its not even for anyone in the same street, or for that matter the same town... actually not even in the same county....

It was postmarked the 9th October, no idea how it ended up through my door, it's really random.

On one hand I guess it's a bit cheeky, but on the other I feel like I'm helping

Don't panic mate, it will arrive, it's just some places are three weeks behind with packet's, and your parcel may have got caught in a wildcat strike depot, hence adding to the super long wait, I bet it will arrive within the next week, and no I'm not putting money on it, I just mean it's likely due any day, don't panic yet, as I have been told that some sorting offices still three weeks behind, and even my sorting office in a really small area is a week behind.

O'll tell you what you can do, is phone your local sorting offfice and ask them how far they are behind with packet's, and give them your street etc.., you'll thn get an idea of how late it will be, and if he is anice posty, he may even go have a look on the cages for you.

For normal post, it is fine, 2 post from game.net arrived next day and 1 post from play.com arrived in 2 days (Not unusual) and my pay slip arrive today as normal.

So I think normal post is fine, but the backlog is slowly clearly.

I sent something Recorded on 16th Oct, took exactly 14 days to arrive (today). Should have just sent it first class by sounds of it.
