Ha, bless you Spatial, that's probably the nicest compliment yet
It was drawn on ‘smooth bristol board’ paper with a black biro pen, and then shaded with 2B, 3B and 9B graphite pencils. Also used watercolours for the background and then tidied things up digitally... but yes, i'm afraid it was all drawn by hand! Ha, painstakingly so.
This really did take hours (and hours and hours). It’s the very first car (or any vehicle come to that) I’ve ever attempted, so am well chuffed with it.
Oh, and I've left the numberplate blank because that will be personalized to my brother when given as a Christmas present :-)

I've been working at the barn today, (lots of burning, lifting, breaking things, moving things far too heavy to be moved and generally getting really mucky) so have now finally returned home absolutely covered in mud, grit and goodness knows what else. Bones hurt, back's sore, hands are cut to pieces, foot got a nail through it and I've got a huge glass gash across my chest... but there's something very refreshing about a good day's work :-)
But bugger it, damn I can't wait to walk through those doors at Lionhead. ha, funny how things work out
edit: Thank you DavidH, means a lot a buddy. It's not quite finished, still a few additions to make here and there... but generally i'm well chuffed with it. I have to admit though, i was surprised how easy it was to make cars look, well, car-like. I know that's a really silly thing to say, but to compared to drawing people, clothing or animal fur... shading metal was blissful (though admittedly very time consuming!)Last edited by Adam Stone; 09-12-2009, 15:25.
