Yeah now he just needs to get rid of that mystery smell!

Just stopped the UFC on the V+ box and Camberwick Green was on Nick Jr Classics - and there's a character in it called Captain Snort. I'm sure. Classic.

I've just had a Royal Fail card through the door saying "unfortunately we can't deliver your item because the sender didn't pay full postage." I'm not expecting anything though! Is it some kind of pathetic scam?

Nah it's probably just an Xmas card that is bigger than the standard letter stamp the sender put on it, we had a couple last year. Of course it could be a letter telling you you've won a million quid or something also ...

It'll be a Christmas card without a stamp, or with not enough postage on it.

Royal Mail haven't "failed" you here, one of your friends or family have.

We have a client who almost always underpays the postage on any letters they send us. The fact that they're loaded makes it extra annoying.

I got one through the door today as well. But the bloody postman didn't even ring or knock on the door bell to ask for the money, so they now want me to go and collect the card from their depot.

What a **** day I have had today.

I nipped out from work at dinner time on my bike to get the kids in my class some presents. When I got back to my bike I couldn't unlock it and noticed that someone had tampered with it, and had broken the lock. No mater how hard I tried I couldn't unlock the thing, so I had to leave it there and get the bus back to work.
Work let me leave early and after waiting for about an hour in the cold and snow the locksmith finally turned up, but even with a drill and boltcutter he couldn't get into it. I was left with no choice but to leave my bike where it was and get the train home. I will have to try again tomorrow.

I hate the world (london) and really want to move back home to Sheffield. London is a nightmare place to live

The "bloody postman" isn't allowed to knock on your door and ask for money mate, he doesn't even have the item on him.

                    Feel for you mate.

A couple of years back when I used to work in the gym, I cycled to and from work everyday. I loved my bike - would cycle everywhere. It was a gift from my brother (it was his mountain bike and he won various races in it) so it meant a lot on a personal level too. Anyhoo.... During the afternoon I had a strange feeling something was wrong and i knew, just knew, my bike was gone. I sadly couldn't go and check because I was on shift, so had to wait the whole day until I could check. Come 8pm I went outside and yep, it was gone. Was gutted.

Another time my bike was taken (another bike of course!) it was pinched straight from my own back garden! I was upstairs on the PC working when my partner's daughter came crawling up the stairs (she was five at the time) and said 'someone's just taken your bike...'

I thought she was joking at first. Apparently she hid behind the sofa, watched them take the bike, continue to watch the end of her tv program and then came up to told me, ha.

I went on a mission after that to try to catch the arses. Was out hunting for a good hour or so but had no luck. Fortunately though i'm a stubborn soul, so after five minutes of getting in I decided to go and look for em one last time and by chance noticed a bunch of chavs surrounding a very similar bike indeedy. I went up to them (which was probably a silly idea but bugger em, i wanted my bike bike) and after a few brief words I got it back. They followed me for a minute but then buggered off.

Still, i bloody hate people sometimes.

I hate leaving things anywere these days because even if you bolted it to the floor & surrounded it with an electric fence someone would still manage to pinch the bloody thing somehow.

I just bought myself a lovely Giant STP Mountain Bike. Its a beautiful beast of a bike, & I managed to get it for £250 down from its rrp of about £600. Its my baby & I hate leaving it anywhere even when its locked up because I worry that if someone cant nick it they'll f*ck it up good just to spite me.

Similar thing happened to a lad I work with this year, he only works sundays and used to come in and leave his bike in the stockroom, but it was always in the way so he was told he couldn't do it anymore after a while, anyway the next week he left it chained to one of those posts the council installed for cyclists, but only by the front wheel, anyway all he was left with at the end of the day was a front wheel! a few weeks later he had another bike and made sure this time it was locked up properly, only for someone to go and nick his front wheel! Bad luck indeed.

Cheers for the support people. Just about to get on the train and see what condition it is. The school will let me out at 10.30am to try and get another locksmith to have a go. I love my bike as I do a 20 mile round trip on it every day. I only bought it in the summer and it cost me nearly 500 quid. Our car has just gone through it's MOT the other day and that cost 450 quid and then two days ago our iron exploding so I had to but a new one. Life is really testing me at the moment.

I have my bike back! It took an angle grinder, a 45 metre extension cable and the help of a market trader but we did it!
