Went to change lane on a dual carriageway and there was a motorbike in my blindspot. Fortunately I checked again as I started to move out and saw him. Quickly swerved back in.

Big white bearded dude then pulls alongside swearing at me, giving me the finger. Fair enough - I'm in the wrong. Caught my mistake. Used to ride a bike myself and stopped because I got terrified of this happening to me. So at this point I'm feeling guilty as hell and quite sorry for him.

But...

Then the dude pulls in in front of me. Slows right down. I overtake him. He starts to tailgate me. All the while abuse and the finger. Think he tried to take a photograph with a camera (can't wait for that one - errrr some guy pulled out and saw me and pulled in). Then he pulls past me with more abuse on and on and on.

I won't lie. By this point I was wishing I'd knocked him off.

Bloody idiots.

I hate this crap. I'm quite a timid quiet soul at heart and this stuff gets to me.

Ish - I would be pissed off at that too, especially if the bloke looked like Santa (which is how the mental image I got looked after reading your post, of Santa in biker gear swearing at you on a motorbike).

I've no sympathy for him. Open face helmet? check. Stupid bike? almost certainly No idea how to ride? Check (if he's getting involved rather than just pissing off in to the distance, then he's clueless).

Almost a pleasure driving to work this morning what with the kids being off, 45 minute journey cut to 25 minutes instantly.

Yeah it is nice in the mornings without all da kids, although I got stuck behind two trucks carrying some slag (this not this! ) this morning, so that did slow me down somewhat. Only thing is though David, is that town is heaving with the little urchins instead when I head in around lunchtime, all listening to their walkmans and doing the Moonwalk!
