Vinyl wraps for cars (especially matt black) seems to be a real 'of the moment' business right now.

    I give you:

Matte seems to be the new black.

Imagine keeping that clean and unscratched on a UK road though. Just wouldn't be possible.

Doesn't that apply to any colour though? Although all the roads round me are covered in muck, so driving 2 miles turns my car from clean to dirty.

They clearly posted it in the wrong site. It should've been sent to winblog.org!

Documentary exploring how cars have been presented on British television over the years.

If I don't post this now I'll forget, looks interesting.

Why does this always happen to me. I was driving donw a dual carriageway in the righthand lane and SMACK some highway maintenence vehicle parked on the other side of the barriar must of hand something sticking out across the road!
My wingmirror was totally destroyed. That could of smashed my windscreen whatever it was!

I'll join your moan. Normally after I wash my car, the neighbours' (6) cats all come and dance on my roof with dirty paws. No sign of them after this weekend's wash, so the sonic cat deterent seems to be working. I drive down my road and it sounds like a branch falling on the roof. When I arrive I check and some bird has shat all over the car. Roof. Front door. Back door. rear 3/4. windscreen. How does so much poo fit in one bird? It was like it had exploded.

I think it's the seasons for bird crapping. Both my wife's car and mine were covered in it, all in the short space of this past weekend.

Don't get me started on bird crap. The car park I use for work is the hangout for a rowdy crowd of no good Sea Gulls, who spend the entire day dropping their guts over people's cars.

They're all stinking vermin that should be shot!

Although I did laugh when, couple of weeks ago, I was in the right place at the right time to see one of them land a direct hit on a bunch of kids who were trying to use the car park as their own personal bike track and giving people grief.

Hit the gang leader face on and everything, a shed load of watery foul smelling ****. Big hard man that he was he burst into tears - so upset he pushed his bike off at speed instead of riding away

Funnily enough they didn't come back.

Ive decided to get rid of my perennially bird crap covered car and buy myself an Alfa GTV.

Now ive been looking in the usual places ie: Autotrader, Pistonheads, alfa owners club and Ebay, but as yet ive had absolutely no luck finding the right car (a 2.0 litre lusso, in black with tan leather interior, 17inch teledial alloys and small rear spoiler thingy, no more than circa 75k miles preferably, FYI!).

Im just wondering if/hoping im missing a trick and should be using some other magical website that perhaps you guys might know about? Or maybe there just arent that many decent examples around and i need to be more patient!

Managed to stumble upon what seemed to be a super car club Sunday meet, whilst out for a drive here today, near Tokyo. An array of Ferraris and the like parked up at a service area off of one of the expressways. Two F50s, a sprinkling of Testarossas and 512 TRs, the usual suspects; 360 Modenas, F355s and even a 288 GTO and an F40.

A couple of Lamborghini Countachs and Murcis, too. The former are huge, and I really didn't appreciate just how monstrous they really are. Must be a nightmare to park. A Porsche 997 turbo was in the mix, too, but seemed to be over looked by slack jawed passers by. How often do you see two F50s an F40 and a 288 GTO lined up together, and not in a museum or event but being used in real life? Triple Awesome....

Sounds awesome Richard! Did you manage to get grab any photos? I feel sorry for the lone 997 amongst that lot

I was driving down the M40 once, and I did see two Enzo's followed by an F50. I suspect they were on their way to a similar kind of event.
