I really want to go but can't really afford it!!!

UFC events thick and fast, 103 was a great night for stand up and KO's

really impressive UFC debut by the brit Daley, though not sure his ground game will be up to scratch against the top guys.

the co-headliner of CroCop v Dos Santos was just savage, I hadn't seen or heard of Dos Santos but he looks a real contender for the heavyweight crown, he's got size and speed and stamina as this fight proved. one of the best battles I'd seen in a while.

        UFC105 info:

UFC 105 explodes at the M.E.N. Arena, Manchester, Saturday, November 14 as Randy 'The Natural' Couture and Brandon 'The Truth' Vera face in a pivotal battle in the Light Heavyweight division. Also, British hero Michael 'The Count' Bisping takes on Denis Kang while Dan 'The Outlaw' Hardy collides with Dong Hyun Kim.

Seated prices around the ring are ?250

Cheapest are in the heavens @ ?40.

Does anyone know if they have big screens over the cage or something that enables the people in the top tier to see whats actually going on? I would imagine it would be fairly difficult to see some sort of lock or choke from a fair distance away.

Don?t think we?ll be seeing anymore of Crocop after the beating he took from Dos Santos. Bit sad to see such a legend get picked apart like that, but at the same time it?s nice to know there?s another decent striker waiting in the wings to take on Brock.

The main event was a bit of a damn squib for people wanting a war, but I found it satisfying to see Vitor beat Franklin so effortlessly. Makes me more confident in his ability to beat Anderson - just hope he can do it without the ?JESUS IS #1!!!? t-shirt.

They?ll definitely have one of those multi-screens (whatever they're called) above the octagon and I think they have a few smaller ones scattered around the arena.

Yeah the cost is high and even on floor level it will be hard to see those things. The best seats are probably lower tier 5 or so rows up so that you are in line with the action but then its still hard to see details. You go for the atmosphere and watch on the screens, which there must be as there normally is with ufc events.

              Why?

In other news - Rampage Jackson has retired to concentrate on acting! Such a shame; I was really looking forward to seeing him fight Evans.

I think Rampage has taken a look at the likes of Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida and thought 'sod that for a laugh'.

                Can't say I blame him.

I think we're about to see a lot of the generation that made the transition for MMA into the mainstream move on and cash in on their popularity in something a little less demanding, fair play to them all.

Anyone else watching the latest series of Ultimate Fighter?

                  Just watched episode 2:

Great fight, with two gassed fighters. Rampage has proven that he is really ****e at booking matches for his team!! Next week Roy Nelson v Kimbo Slice. Crazy to have that on the third week! The could have teased for a bit. Can't see Kimbo winning!

How successful do you think he'll be? He's a guy with a lot of charisma - enough to make a career in entertainment? I haven't seen any of those straight-to-DVD efforts he's been in... mind you, the A-Team is going to be seriously big (I'd imagine).

Can't find a decent stream - and it's not on telly here anywhere. I saw the preview and parts of episode 1 on YouTube; looks like a corker.

TUF 10 is shown on saturday evenings on Five US on Sky, its up to date and shows in the right week from the US.

I don't expect to see Rampage winning any oscars but find the right vehicles for him, and other ex or soon to be ex-fighters and they'll do ok. one of the things I notice is that the level of dedication/skill/intelligence needed to be a top MMA fighter makes them a far more marketable prospect than say ex-boxers.

I live in Korea... although at lunchtime I found a good stream!

I'm not sure I'd agree that boxing (at the highest level) requires less dedication, skill or intelligence than elite MMA... but I would say that the variety of attack points and offensive styles in MMA means fighters suffer less brain damage than boxers, meaning post-career they may be more articulate. Having said that, De La Hoya is still a great public speaker.

Thanks for the tip, caught it last night. Can't believe how tired that Shivers guy got considering he was a professional american footballer. The guy was huge! He should have been murdered by the Londoner he was fighting though. The British guy's coach sounded like he was gonna have kittens, "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!". He sounded like he was physically in pain.

that was cool, these heavies all seem to lack a bit in the gas tank at this level so far. they were some nasty sounding leg kicks being handed out by McSweeney

can't wait for next week, its Kimbo time !

                                Best season since the first.

I agree, Rampage?s coaching style is awful; he picks his worst ground fighter to fight a wrestler, and a guy who?s 1-2 against Rashad?s number one pick. Just hope Kimbo can pick up a few wins so the UFC have an excuse to throw him in there with some legit fighters - I mean, who doesn?t want to see Kimbo try and chop down Brock?

Doesn?t bother me really (Vitor?s one of my favourite fighters) I?m just not religiously inclined.

Regarding Rampage retiring, I don?t buy it. I?m sure after the dust has settled on what I imagine will be a train wreck of a film, we?ll see the Rashad fight, but like Merf said, I can?t see him fighting Machida or Anderson ; I believe he?s already refused to fight Machida once.
