Just got a text from O2 saying that my iPhone 3G is now officially unlocked! Shoved Vodafone sim in and synced with iTunes and all's hunky dory

My mili iPhone power pack arrived today, it's bulled up my skinny iPhone somewhat but it will be a handy thing to have. Double battery life, syncing through normal USB and being able to charge other USB devices from the backup power

I've got iPhone questions.

How do I close the keyboard when I've finished writing a text message? I feel like I'm being an idiot here, I can't find out how at all.

If I accidentally press send, can I cancel a text sending?

How does opening a US iTunes account affect putting apps on my phone? Are we looking at PSP levels of idiocy or will it not make a difference where the app was downloaded from?

Got a question about mobileme. I bought an iPhone and set up an Apple ID using my existing email address, and have bought a few apps with that account such as Slingplayer, a couple of games, etc..

I just signed up for the 60 day free trial of mobileme. The email address you get with that is also an Apple ID, so I'd rather use that Apple ID and not have two floating around. My question is, what happens to the apps I bought using the old ID? Will they still work / update if I start using the new mobileme ID?

I think you can just sign into your existing Apple ID and then change the email to the MobileMe one, thus making that your new Apple ID. I'm fairly certain that's what I did when I subscribed to MobileMe the first time round.

Just got the unlock text from O2.

So my 3G is now unlocked and the PAYG sim from Voda gets full bars around the house.

Just need to pop to the pub to try and then thats me leaving O2 in January when Vodafone get the iPhone.

I've started having problems connecting to web based stuff with my Orange iphone.

It can't connect to Twitter apps and can't load anything in Safari, Facebook or my email.

If I power off and on again it accesses Twitter but it doesn't look like my normal feed as there are no new posts. A second later and the connection will drop.

I have full 3G bars.

Seems very odd, anyone else had any problems?

No problems with my Orange iPhone as of yet.

Had a "hard" crash whereby I had to "reset" the phone (same way you do with an iPod) but other than that (horrendously scary) moment, all a-ok.

Have you tried deleting the app and re-installing it, that usually works if an app is behaving funny. Saying that though the native youtube app on my 2g has stopped working now, even on wifi it simply says it cant connect to the internet, even though it works through safari on the normal youtube site, baffling

What's the general consensus, worth it or not?

Moreover, what do people on here do with theirs? Jailbroken or not?
