Virgin. It was all going so well - nice bloke on the phone when I signed up, nice engineer and nice fast broadband but got the bill today and they have added ?3 a month for TiVo - despite me being "upgraded for free" to it. I now have to take up two afternoons waiting for a V+ HD box to come and for a bloke to come collect the TiVo box.

I don't understand how companies manage to deal with anyone who isn't a homemaker or jobless student (aka me!)...

They could bring this flavour over here but no, instead we'll probably get yet another chocolate flavour (the only Ben and Jerry's I like are the baked alaska and the overpriced expensive sorbet due to my dislike of milk chocolate)

The Pen and Teller "Fool Us" show was really good, but apparently suffered from poor viewing figures. Typical ITV viewers, don't know a good thing when its shown.

I do miss the days of a solid evening of Saturday entertainment that you used to get in the late 90's (aside from Casualty which was only fun on a 'guess who gets horrifically injured and how' level).

Ever since reality shows became big and game shows became all about high stakes gambling, Saturday TV = meh.

Haven't watched saturday night tv for ages, it's just plain irritating, if i'm at home it's xbox or a dvd, I avoid facebook completely on saturdays aswell thanks to the news feed being full of fawning idiots commenting on nothing but whatever reality tv show is on that week

Most tv these days is ****e due to the laziness of the ppl involved in making them. Saturday night tv used to be pretty good back before Ant & Dec took it over.

My irk(s):

1. People who slam doors - no need for it. Its rude.

2. Online stores that add the VAT to your order when you get to checkout & not specifying before that the price was without VAT added - I spent an hr umming & arring over buying some stuff, then finding more greatstuff to add to it, only to find that they were gonna charge me VAT on top, & despite the business being situated in Jersey.

3. Royal Mail - bunch of useless w4ankers imo. My bro has had trouble with them aswell as me. He ordered from shopto on thurs, item was posted thurs via 1st class recorded & still hasnt turned up. I sent out a 360 controller to a NTSC-UK member IN A BOX & it took 2 wks to arrive despite me paying for 1st Class recorded,....................& it turned up on a SUNDAY??????.
Every other month this seems to happen with them & I dont send that much stuff thru the post.

4. Phonecalls - Every other day the phone rings & when I answer theres no one on the other side. I give it time just incase its another bloody indian call centre, still nothing, then the line then just goes dead.
