Gah, another pain in the arse to sort out: my sub woofer has just gone, only a month and a half old so should be replaced no problem just the bloody hassle of it all!

I wanted to free up some space taken up by mountains of CD's, DVD's, Blu Rays etc so decided to check out music magpie.

?2.50 for the Blu Ray I tried
        ?0.30 for a CD album
        ?0.25 for a DVD

It irks me that anyone could be arsed to go through the hassle for that kind of money, and also that i'm stuck with a shedload of worthless media.

Can agree, I'm moving next week and have a pile of VHS tapes, what am I supposed to do with them, I'm not convinced any charity shops would accept them.

Just curious: What movie did you try? If it's one of the earliest blu-rays out there, I can see them not paying anything more.

Hmmm... you guys are giving me a business idea. Have you ever thought, man, I'd love to see shelves and shelves of VHSs, CDs and maybe even Minidiscs? Well come visit Dogg's Format Museum! Entry is only a fiver and you can stay as long as you like. Feel free to avail of our coffee shop and check out our gift shop on the way out.

Inception triple play version, it was the first thing that came to hand.

F*kin hell I'd have given you at least ?6 for it if I hadnt already bought it myself. Why dont you try sell it on buy/sell thread here?

I also have minidiscs and laserdiscs....they are worth minus money, probably have to pay to get rid of them.

I didn't actually sell it to them, I was just testing the water. I can't be bothered to sell one disc at a time, and I wouldn't have a clue how to price everything anyway. The idea of just selling everything off in one go was appealing, but i'd rather stick it all up the loft than sell 100 albums for ?30!

What? Of course it does. I was picking these up for ?4 last Christmas where in years past you'd be lucky to get them under a tenner.

Thats actually bollox mate. For the last 15 yrs the tin size has slyly creeped down from about 2.8kg to the size it is now, which is under 1kg.
