Serious irk (get your serious faces on). My dad died in the summer, which sucked in itself of course. Now I have found out what he left me in his will - nothing. What an ass. Okay, so I suppose it's better than being left with debts (I know people that has happened to) but to leave me out of the will? Yikes. Not like we had some bust-up or something. Not just me, mind you, he left all his family out and left it all to his partner instead. And the worst part? He never gave me back my copy of Small Gods so now that's left to her too. It's my book! Mine.

I think twitchy eyes have been posted about on here a few times already but I've had another bout since last week or the week before. Just told someone at work and we Googled it for a laugh. She found this:

You could always check that the will has been correctly completed (especially if it was a DIY one) and dispute it if you were so inclined. Definitely steal the book back.

Yeah, think it was all done properly with solicitor and whatnot (part of what frustrates too - clearly a very active choice). I may have to send ninjas out to retrieve the book.

I'd like to offer my condolences on the death of your father. Putting aside all the other stuff, the loss of a parent is hard going.

Cheers, Fader. Yeah, I have a sister. And, yes, strange alright and, given the events, I'll probably never know how or why it all played out so it's really just a case of accepting it, being irked and moving on. Got to allow ourselves the irks sometimes!

I preordered Skyrim and paid extra to have it delivered on release day. It didn't show up. It still hasn't showed up today, and is unlikely to. I planned to have some of last night on the game and most of the weekend. That's gone for a toss.

I'll never pre-order from those useless bastards ever again.

That happened to some people who ordered from Asda, they complained and got half the order value refunded. I doubt amazon'll do the same but it's probably worth complaining

I did, and got back the ?2.09 extra postage I paid. That response has strengthened my resolve that they're a collective of arseholes who simply don't understand the root of my grievance.

I couldn't give a **** about such a piddling amount of money. The value of receiving the game on release day is way beyond a farty nod to monetary reimbursement. The only thing that matters is that they've bollocksed up my weekend of playing a game I've been waiting years for. Now I'm avoiding the first play thread like the plague, instead of getting stuck in.

Aye, I thought about that, but I have no way of getting to a GAME before about 6pm. The missus has the car at the hosses and the nearest bus stop is about 3 miles away. I may try tomorrow.

The damn scum, preordering from a reputable company was meant to avoid such mission-some shenanigans. Now I'm pissing around the house foolishly hoping that the postman is running hours late.
