America don't give a damn about peoples right to democracy. During the transitionary period they signed the over long term rebuilding and government contract work to major US corporations that were close to the administration. The war helped to reverse the economic decline right when Bush needed it.

You don't control a country by governing it yourself, you do it behind the scenes. It was only ever about putting in place a US friendly proxy and blowing that pipeline wide open. America has made a habbit if backroom bully boy tactics and manipulation to get what it wants. When Turkey opposed them on the UN security council the US took steps to cripple there economy in retaliation after they failed to back down to threats. Through the IMF the US has systematically dismantled many countries' welfare states, tearing down health services and blocking workers legislation. How many people died because they blocked the generic aids drugs from the market to protect US profits? There isn't a benevolent bone in that administrations body.

The terrorists didn't start this, we did, only now they have the capability to fight back.
Are we brothers from another mother?

Afganistan, Iraq, Libya all have 1 thing in common my friends. A sh*t load of oil. Afganistan is also in a key position to pass oil from:-

The Taliban said no to the Pipe before 9-11. The newly installed puppet govenment says yes!

Libya also has s**t loads of Gold and Gadaffi wanted to start trading oil in Gold rather then Dollars. Saddam wanted to start using Euros to trade oil.

What happens when you are a brutal dictator who is on the western lesh?

    King Mswati III

You get invited to the Royal Wedding.

Evil vs Evil with good in the middle. This is how absolute control is kept!

Ofcourse they are selective in who they target, and when and where. Saddam was suddenly a threat, and suddenly armed with nukes. You guys seen the footage of his army in the shelters? These guys were using Duke Nukem Forever styled Whiteboards to outline their plan of action

        Surely those dudes held nukes...

But even so, even if Al Qaida and the Mujahideen have been trained and installed by the CIA to stabilize Russian regions during the cold war, it doesn't take away the fact that so many innocent lives have been taken by these heinous crimes. And Bin Ladens group was simply responsible for that.

Bin Laden is a crook over here but say you live in Palestina, he'd probably be your hero. He was against Israel after all. Many people, many different ways of thinking.

American's using war to stabilise their economy and ensure socio-political control across the world?!?!?!

Its been happening for many years. I think there is a compelling pattern of how, whenever there is an economic downturn in the US suddenly war breaks out. Of course it does help that the US is home to one of the biggest defence industries.

America is, however, on a steady decline which will be difficult to halt. Power is clearly shifting to Asia with the emerging powers of India and China. I wonder if that means wars will become more or less likely.

I can't find any indication that justice, in any logical sense of the word, was anywhere on his agenda.

They dropped his body into the ocean...Sounds far too much like the end of the first Transformers movie for my liking.

What's going on at the moment confirms my age old suspicions - the US ADORES the conspiracy theorists. It is throwing them gems right now. The initial briefing said that Bin Laden used his wife as a shield and she was killed. Now the very same people say that he didn't and she's alive. Initial briefing said he was killed in a firefight. Now, he's unarmed.

Conspiracy theories are wonderful. Because each one muddies the truth further. The more whacked-out the conspiracy theories the better because that just allows holes to be picked in each one, leading to doubts and more doubts. Within just a couple of days here, and even before the conspiracy theorists get going, it's already getting muddy enough that the truth just can't be taken for granted. And, when that happens, and especially when the conspiracy theories take hold (and they're being given more than enough material), the truth can be in plain sight and yet impossible to distinguish from the bull****.

Deliberate misinformation, vagueries (is that word?) and contradictions.

I would like to see the photos. No need to announce them on tv just provide a website link to where ppl can view them if they wish to.

Pakistan are very hurt by the comments that the USA couldnt trust them regarding their info & plans. I think that Pakistan needs to realise that they meant that its possible that someone, not all of Pakistan, could be a sympathiser. You cant really blame the US. I mean the whole thing seems a bit dodgy that no one in the area knew. The US had been watching the compound for some yrs, seeing how it had evolved & where it was situated, which would give them cause to be careful to risk a possible leak in their plans.

They will wish to, then they will complain. THEN the photoshopping will start.

I think they were right to keep it from the Pakistani government. I understand a similar thing happened in 1998 and someone in the know tipped him off and he escaped. I think that was Pakistan, as well.

It is strange they originally said he was armed but now say he was unarmed. I guess that means he could have been taken alive after all (providing the second statement is the true one, of course). What's even stranger is their confusing a living woman - his wife, for a dead woman.

Confusing an unarmed man for an armed person is one thing (I'm not a soldier but suspect it's easily done in the heat and fear of the moment) but confusing a living woman for a dead woman? Haha. That stinks of suspicion. Whatever really happened, whatever the truth may be, they don't want people to know.
