I think living next door to noisy neighbours is one of the most miserable things to be put up with. I often think that is someone can't even have the decency not to annoy neighbours then there is no hope for them. A bit like people who drop litter.

computer shops seems like every time i go into them and there is something i am after they never have it in stock and always have to order it in today it was just a 2.5" hardrive laptop they had none in stock

Mouse all over the place. Unplayable.
Vsync on? 30fps
Vsync off? Between 400 and 600fps with tearing.

I'm sure I could fix both these but seriously. How did it get released like this?

Yeah I have vague recollections of the mouse issue. There is definitely a fix but it is weird that EA let that issue through.

Actually I find it so weird that Steam have bugger all quality control, as I bought it on Steam. A couple of years ago they plastered a SimCity 4 sale all over their console and yet it was so absolutely buggered on any modern system. Had to do so much messing about to get that to work and seems that was the same for just about anyone on the internet. Had some serious fixing to do with the Bioshocks too if I remember correctly. They had another big advertised sale of Knights of the Old Republic - again pretty much unplayable on a modern system and I wasn't able to sort that one.

Then there was one weird one (maybe Crysis) where just a single level was unplayable in the DX of the time. You had to bump it down just for that level.

But they don't seem to test anything. I realise they can't account for every system and, for any modern release (like Dead Space because I bought that not long after release) that really comes down to the game makers, but they can certainly test modern dominant operating systems and settings and warn people if there are problems.

Ugh... I gave up in the end and bought a windows 360 controller.
