Colin, nice dogs those, Wymarana (sp), my brother had one for about eight years and had to let her go last year when he split with his wife. How does she cope on the wooden floors though? we had a retired greyhound who really struggled on the wood, though they do have longer nails.

He doesn't have any problems with it David, if he sees something that drives him nuts and he tries to charge at it he sometimes ends up running on the spot for a few seconds before finding grip though.

      (Weimaraner by the way!)

Some ex friends had one of those dogs. Most stupid pain in the arse animal to ever walk the planet. I know it's the owners that are at fault but I'm put off them for life now.

Mine is pretty dumb too if I'm honest, but not annoying.

Dogs are ace, here is our Dave. Can be handful but is also one of the coolest things on the planet.

We have also just rescued this little 3 year old Beagle. She is starting to settle down but is still quite nervous and needy.

Here is the beagle, not too good with posting photos from an ipad.

I love beagles, what was his story, abandoned?

She was from a puppy farm. Not really been socialised, not used to being outside. That said, she loves her walks and we took her on a mile stroll through the Peak District the other day. She is still stealing things and putting them in her bed. Wags her tail when she sees her lead.
                      Think she will be trouble.

I want to get a basset hound and call him Flash, might be too much of a personality difference from Belushi to work though.

Speaking from experience Belushi would kill him

Saying that the males don't seem to be quite as highly strung as females?

No, Belushi loves being around other dogs. It's more that he has boundless energy (15-20 mile walks don't as much as phase him) and the hounds are wee short legged slow coaches.
