        Valentine's day lol i really dont get it, i suppose I'm lucky that i have a wife that doesn't go in for this valentines day nonsense we have real days that mean stuff to us like our wedding anniversary, or ermmm love day.....

          Today's smile: I don't have pancreatic cancer. Awesome. Have had a persistent pain in my side for a long time now so doc is doing a barrage of tests. Had an ultrasound today and it ruled out a bunch of sinister stuff, which I'm very happy about. Still have x-ray results and other stuff to come back but much of the really nasty stuff would have shown up in the ultrasound.

              Thanks Brad! Yeah, I imagine it will be. Reckon it's actually posture related as I have been working on a laptop since last summer - need to sort that. But the doc just wants to rule stuff out and, given I'm somewhat paranoid, I'm okay with that. Looking forward to getting an all-clear on just about any serious diagnosis that exists.

                Pain in your sides can be poor back muscles being supported by other parts e.g. ribs. Have you had any back pain, especially near when the pain started? Hope they figure it out.

                Even if it's not posture yet, you can do preventative exercises while sitting at your desk.

                Sit with elbows at 90?, resting on your hips, hands outstretched in front of you as if holding a big sheet of paper, palms up. Keeping elbows in hips, move your hands / forearms round to the sides as far as possible - you will feel it in your back. Repeat 10 times, while pulling your head backwards as far as possible, but not tipping it (head upright as normal).

                Keeping hips forwards, twist as far round to each side as possible. Point with your arms and look if they help. Repeat.

                Do these every hour and get up and walk around for 30 seconds so you aren't sitting in one place for more than an hour at a time.

                                Kids being off school, my journey to work takes 25 minutes when they're off, and 55 minutes when they're at school.
                                Poxy school Mums, make the kids walk to school, wasn't like this back in my day!
