Jesus, 5-1, good result for you scallies up the Lancs rd. If you ever needed to pull out a decent result, this was it. I had started to think (hope) your season was going into tailspin.

Damn, we have to win all our games in hand now at a time when we can't score

    At least Chelski are losing

Johnson gave away the free kick - an ex Evertonian lol

Crap wall - big gap there. Go on have a go, son. He did. And he scored.

        Edit 2-2 now

Very good performance, bettered only by Shay Given!!
Insua has been doing v well and it was great to see a few rested. I was surprised to see Keane on the bench and, in all honesty, worried to see Xabi there at the start. Lucas played well though as did the Monster so all good.Assume more rest for the Preston ngame so people should be fit and firing when the league continues.

Also, anyone know why Stevie did not take the pen today? Would have been a hat trick too...

                lollersome

given he was arrested at 2am and paparazzi haven seen him and the club haven't held a press conference means he spent the night in the cells which probably means he was directly involved (or the police thought he was) in whatever happened.

Hope it's nothing serious. That 34 year old Manc and his mates will think twice next time.

That is exactly the problem with most English footballers. Always out on the razz, a majority of players from the continent prefer to not go out to late night clubs and get into problems.

Tis a real shame because it causes players like Gerrard to lose out in the long run, either by shortening their career or stunting their progress.

I think footy players should be allowed to go out for a drink every now and again. It's just that I imagine they're only going to run into knob heads more often than the average joe.
