I'd love a new kit with just the bird on it. I'd also buy the new Liverpool shirt too

Seems the trend for the liverpool badge is for it to keep increasing in complexity over time.

Bird > bird in shield > bird in shield with a banner > bird in shield with banner and frilly bits at the top > bird in shield with banner and frilly bits at the top and flaming torches.

Each element is symbolic. Justice flames and Shankly gates ("frilly bit").

and a red/green colour scheme that symbolises the many years of harsh oppression of those with colour blindness?

Green has been a part of our team for years.

Just as the cruel treatment of those poor poor people with Deuteronomy has been!

There's a good little article showing off logo evolutions here: http://www.logoguru.co.uk/history-epl-club-logos/

Bit inconsistent though, some of the teams come across as "I couldn't find any logos but these ones".

The neutral kit was green back in the day. I liked it.

I really hope Liverpool can begin to sort their away form out today. Its essential given the drubbing Spurs suffered yesterday.

Both Spurs and Man City have tough run ins, so if they carry on dropping points Liverpool can certainly nick that coveted 4th spot I think.

Lets pray Lucas is given the freedom to get forward again or Gerrard plays central and we use 2 strikers today. Away at Birmingham is a game Liverpool need to get stuck into right from the off.

Let's hope Insua is dropped. I'm sorry, but this guy did originally show promise and he still does from time to time, but his position is currently our weak point. Like shooting the core on an end level boss, teams will aim for this area. Hope he turns up today.

Personally, I would put Johnson in LB, Degen in RB.

Don't think we have won at Birmingham for a while now. Possibly our hardest game.

Degen at RB is as bad (position-wise) as Insua at LB, arguably worse.

Clearly, LB needs sorting for next season, as it would appear that Fabio Aurelio will probably be moving on.

I think we owe Birmingham at least 5 or 6 goals today, delivered in lieu from the game at Anfield earlier in the season

But seriously, hoolak's right. I expect a very tough game today, perhaps a score draw, but hopefully we can nick a 0-1 or 1-2. Spot on about Insua, but there's not any other options unfortunately.

A must win though, or 4th is City's, surely.

Birmingham haven't lost at home since the end of September apparently, whereas we haven't won in about 8 away from home.
This has a draw all over it at best.

                            Torres taken off after 63mins - what.the.****?!

I've defended many of Rafa's questionable decisions, but if win don't we this now I cannot defend that

edit: and to make things worse, N'Gog has just missed 2 chances that Torres surely would have put away...

Apparently, Torres has some ice on his knee.

Seemed to be news to everyone if Torres was taken off for injury reasons, Gerrard in particular wasn't too happy from what I gather (typical I'd miss the most eventful part of the game due to lunch).

He certainly needs to be on, I'm losing count of good chances being wasting here.
