Like I said , I'll be impressed with Raffa when he wins the league . At the moment I'm not impressed , and Liverpool squad and bench is the worst since Souness was in Charge imo .

I agree that our squad is thin in terms of quality, but I can't really see how he has "wasted" money? He bought Torres for what now looks like a bargain price. Moulded him into a prolific striker. Something he wasn't at Atletico. This is thanks to the manager and now one else. The waste of money that was Keane, was something done out of the manager's hands. Glen Johnson, whilst expensive for a defender (money owed on Crouch in deal too), is proving to be an excellent signing.

I'd say Rafa is doing pretty well with funds he's getting. Especially how a lot of money has gone right into debt paying. Again, something out of the managers hands.

Good buy that , but its one player . Most half decent managers can buy 1 or 2 players that turn out to be awesome buys .

Now If we can have a grown up and adult like talk for a minute . I simply don't think Raffa gets the premiership , and he's buying far to many Foreign imports , and I'm getting sick of the the Chairman getting the blame , rather than Raffa .

I don't believe he needs to win the EPL to keep his job but I do believe he needs either a cup or a finish that keeps fans optimistic about the prospect of winning the league.

The league is what the Liverpool fans are craving just like the Champions League is what Chelsea are craving (although all the UEFA/FIFA crap that we keep getting has diminished my view of the competition) but that doesn't mean other wins won't make the fans happy.

One thing that Liverpool can't do is destabilise themselves or start a downward spiral. They've something like 2 years until this financial deal runs out, they need a buyer or reasonable levels of profits by then.
