Even if Lucas was back and sideways passing I would still be very happy. His job in the team is to get the ball and give it straight away.

I have been his biggest fan on this board for a long time. Very happy that he is finally convincing others. I'm happy for Maxi too, he isn't gonna skin defenders with regularity but his neat and tidy passing is an excellent option.

Well, more performances like that from Lucas and he might even have me convinced! In my defence, alot of the problem I can with him was down to both him and Mascherano being used in the middle which I always felt lacked creativity. I do like him alot more paired with Gerrard though. This could very well be his breakout season, much like Flamini at Arsenal a few years back, the similarities are there for sure.

Ironically Maxi has been playing decent for us ever since I asked in this very thread whether he'd actually had a good game for us yet

Lucas walks a very tight line with alot of our fans. One misplaced pass many will be all over him again, like parasites. e never played the holding role for Gremio, and was used to getting forward and supporting an attack. He's still coming to terms with the role he's being asked to play, and in time he will make it his own.

After Spurs & Sunderland drawing tonight, tomorrow's match at Wigan could be big for us. A win there could see us climb to 6th in the table (or maybe even 5th if Newcastle slip up).

Won't be easy though - Wigan have been a bit of a bogey side for us in recent times, and they have a habit of turning up against big sides, especially at their place.

Amazing how the tide turns. A few wins on the bounce and on for a top half spot already. League is so tight.

Liverpool should be fully capable of a win barring any stupid decisions from Woy (playing Poulsen for example) or the side not turning up.

I'm happy its not on TV though, as suggested earlier Wigan tend to make it difficult for big teams at home. I'm praying for a decent result so the run can continue. Stoke at the weekend is gonna be the most challenging fixture of the two, a draw would be a good result for a team who haven't done well on the road in recent months.

Quite nervous about the game tonight. If we don't win it could get the press back on Woy's back and break our belief.

This is exactly the issue that has dogged us for the last two decades. More than capable of getting a result against the bigger sides, but patchy against the less well regarded sides. I wouldn't be surprised if we pick up two points from the next two. And I expect Torres to get clattered in both games in both games.

Sounds like we have resumed playing plop again...

I knew we'd faff it. It would have been too good to be true to beat Wigan. Now we have a big game at Stoke which looks like it's going to be tough. If we fail to win, all of a sudden 2 points from 2 games and it's all doom again.

Difficult to know what to make of it really. Ultimately lucky to get a point, but Gerrard should've won it.

Playing the same 11, 3 days after playing Chelsea, when everybody covered about 500 miles of turf was probably a bit of a boo-boo. A lot of tired looking players.

Kuyt looked like he was about to collapse after about 20 minutes, was just too much to ask after a month out injured. When we finally took him off, at which point we needed a goal, he was replaced with Poulsen - which was a real WTF moment.

Konchesky is somehow getting worse instead of better.

                          N'zogbia was superb.

It's not like the teams around us are all picking up points, so it's not all bad. As you were, really.

Forgot to mention - the booing of Poulsen when he came on was a bit of a disgrace.

He might have had a bad start, but I don't think it's down to a lack of effort, which is the only reason I would ever even consider booing a current LFC player. Felt bad for him.
