He might have had a bad start, but I don't think it's down to lack a of effort, which is the only reason I would ever even consider booing a current LFC player. Felt bad for him.

Not his biggest fan, but it's happening more and more over the years with some of our support. I seem to recall Leto getting it bad a couple of years back. At the end of the day, what does booing achieve? It doesn't help the player or the team, it's just about indulging your negative emotions. That's not part of supporting the reds.

I don't agree with booing one of your own players as they play (except for reasons of extreme bad sportsmanship). As they come off is one thing (you deserve to vent your feelings about a performance) but whilst they're playing... It just becomes a self fulfilling prophecy, you should always be driving your team on in a game.

I agree that's poor, no need for that.

These rumours of Pepe wanting out in January won't go away. Apparently he doesn't like the training methods the manager employs.

Some of the 'evidence' behind him wanting to move is laughable.

Reina (in response to a question asking him about playing spanish football next season): "I will not be leaving to go back to Spain!"

papers: "Reina wants to leave Liverpool, but not for Spain!"

I think the story keeps coming from the Daily Mirror, and because of that Talksport had it on their show for calls.

I'd be gutted to see him go.

"I have seen a newspaper has made this suggestion. It is completely untrue.

"I have not told the manager that I wish to leave in January, or at any other time. It is important our fans know this.

"I have a long-term contract at Liverpool and I am fully committed to the club.

"Our new owner met me and some of the other players last week and I was very happy with what he told me."

Reina, who has played in 18 of the Reds' 21 games this season, added: "The entire squad and staff are working very hard to get us back competing at the top of the table. We will not be distracted by inaccurate media speculation."

                  Best keeper in the league.

Was interesting to note at last week's game how much better a footballer he is than Cech. By that I mean his ability on the ball, passing off both feet etc.

Some of the other top keepers look a bit clumsy in comparison.

His distribution i.e throwing and kicking is amazing. He's raised the bar of what a goalie can be about. Glad these rumours have been rubbished and we can hold on to his talents for a bit longer

Lucas, who couldn't put a foot wrong against Chelsea last week, needlessly got himself sent off.

Didnt think we'd lose. Expected a draw. It was nasty to watch, but credit to Stoke, we couldnt handle their workrate and gritty style of play. Some very poor performances again from the likes of Konchesky, skrtel and even Gerrard. People seem to think we need the attack strengthening, but we need to sort the defence out. A cheap greek being our internal player of the month speaks volumes. We need about 7 top players to be honest. God knows how.

Personally I fully expected us to lose against Stoke, I don't think Roy has the nous to break a team like them down. But there's still something depressing about inevitability, isn't there.

With Roy's insistence on playing Carra as right-back, we have no width, pace or penetration on the right side at all. These flat-back-four tactics have seen us pushed back deep with only punts as options out far too many times already this season, it doesn't work.

We leave the excellent Kelly on the bench, who isn't afraid of getting forward; no place at all for Aurelio on the left; and our best attacking defender is publically critisised this week. OK, he's not had much form this season and remains injured at the moment, but still. But nope, it's Carra and Konchesky. Can anyone tell me what Konchesky does? I'd probably even take back Insua (loaned out by Roy, of course) at this point, just to try something different at least.

From the midfield onwards, I'm not sure what else we could have done anyway. Stoke pressurised and kicked us about the park, there was not much way through the centre. But then that was inevitable, and playing Torres in such isolation once more wasn't going to help. Would have liked to see Babel from the start, as he would give us WIDTH and PACE, at least.

Guess like I said before, if we didn't win either or both of these last two games which we couldn't, it's all doom and gloom again.
Bugger me we were awful though.

Woy has chosen to attack Glenn Johnson publicly for his form, the bloke has been injured for a fair portion of the season and the entire team has played poorly.

Clearly something went on behind the scenes between them both. I dont see Woy staying much past January maybe but definitely not the Summer. Comolli as an appointment would give continuity to the owners search for talent when they replace Woy. So essentially he can be replaced at any time I think, it'll lead to a disjointed first team season but maybe thats the price worth paying if Woy cannot lead the team to any consistency.

Yesterday night was atrocious, the team had no idea at all when they tried to break down the Stoke defensive unit. As for starting Babel, Tetsuo, that'd be a crazy idea. Have you seen him in Europe this season? Babel is one of the worst players I've witnessed playing at Liverpool, if he isn't sold in January then Woy needs sacking just for that.
